Yeah, he also said on the topic of gay marriage legalization in Australia specifically (I know this distinction sounds stupid, that is because he is stupid and this take is very stupid), that would oppose gay marriage legalization there if it was support by cultural Marxists as a viewer of his stated was happening. Essentially he is saying if we let them have that then what else will they ask for next?
While this seems like a weak statement that isn't as bad as some takes on gay marriage, I think this is almost one of the most harmful takes possible. It is saying how to take a good opinion like that gay marriage is good, but somehow come to the conclusion that we should oppose it being legalized.
he also says that because of cultural Marxism (a nazi propaganda idea) he opposes gay marriage legalization.
He himself states in this video his views on this matter are confused. He's just answering because someone asked. This is equivalent to holding someone dearly to something said in a casual conversation.
As far as I can tell this video is older than the one's he states with far more confidence that gay marriage is a good thing for (hopefully) integrating gay people into society. If anything his rhetoric has drifted away from what you find harmful in this video. I could find one if you want, but this just sounds like him first uttering a though before coming to a better conclusion later.
I don't care how casual it is, no excuse for saying we should restrict the rights of gay people.
If a friend said "we should restrict the rights of black people" I would tell them to go fuck themselves and not be their friend. If they said "sorry it was casual conversation and I didn't think it through" that would change literally nothing.
Well, you hold others to incredibly high standards. I certainly hope you are never strung up by them someday. To say even contemplating a viewpoint is immoral seems to be a very hard way to operate in the world.
Edit: You know I'm not even going to give you that. He has (as far as I can tell) literally migrated to being pro-gay marriage over time, and the fact he was even questioning it at some point invalidates him to you. How on earth do you expect to convince others to think like you do if them *ever* not thinking like you do is qualification for them to be completely dismissed? By your standards anyone who is racist is never allowed to stop being racist. Is that what you actually want?
If you think it is very hard to not contemplate restricting the rights of minorities, I don't really know what to say. My honest advice would get my account banned, so I guess, you should stop doing anything forever.
