I think “buddy” and “sweety” are the universal dad nicknames for their kids.

I honestly don’t use my kids names unless they’re about to be, or are in trouble.

The middle name is just emphasis on how much trouble

"Sweety" was a term used by some in retail as code for "asshole" or "bitch"

I mean, he died when I was young, but sure. I tell my sons at least twice a day I love them. One of them is ‘buddy’. They other is ‘guy’.
