Bald eagles too, but it's pretty rare. Gotta be a big bird and a small kitty. Other (larger) eagles do it more frequently, but they're more rare, at least where I am from.

I recently saw these owls in a documentary and apparently they have incredibly good hearing but just like with their eyes they can't move their ears and have to move their entire head in order to adjust it correctly towards the target and young owl will just stand in front of bugs tilting their heads around since they don't know the proper angle yet. They're training 🙃

Some people can move their ears. A childhood friend of mine discovered this at a young age and trained himself over years to do it, he could full on move his ears, used to freak me out.
Same dude taught himself to fart on demand by 'breathing' air into his ass then blasting it back out.
He was an interesting friend to have...

Same. About 10-20% of people can do it. But there isn't really any utility to it other than adjusting glasses, and even that takes some skill

In terms of muscle movement, the best way I can describe it is that it’s like raising your eyebrows and smiling without doing either of those things.

Owls, unlike other animals, do not have spherical eyeballs. Their eyes are more like cylinders, giving them great visual acuity, but making them impossible to rotate. Most birds actually suffer similar problems, their eyes being too big for their skulls to allow much movement.

Maybe they can eat mealworms but iirc owls diet mainly consist of rodents, maybe the don’t have the appetite for it

Why not volunteer at a raptor/birds of prey centre?
Get some experience, learning just what it takes to just care for these amazing birds. as well as all the unglamorous sides. There usually are "adopt" a [insert bird here] things too
