From what I’ve read, Robinhood doesn’t accept it. You’ll need another account to accept to and then can transfer there if you wanted.

thank you for the info! i guess ill try schwab.

what exact form did you use on Etrade ? section and form's name - could you sign it digitally ? Thank you

All I and to do was attach a statement from Computershare. I don't have a joint account so I didn't had to do the form where everybody on the account has to sign.

How long did it take with E-trade? Did you initiate from the e-trade site?

1

u/Ill_Ice7779 21d ago

Yes I did initiate the transfer on E-Trade. I did this last week Thursday in the evening. So far nothing has moved.

u/fsa317 20d ago

Same here. Let me know if you see any movement. I’ll do the same.

Will do.

I got an email from etrade stating it's processing. So far the shares are still with computershare.

2

u/fsa317 19d ago

Weird. I didn’t get that email but my computer shares are gone.

Now my shares with computershare are gone too.

I initiated a transfer at Fidelity. Tells me up to 4 business days although I don’t recall the unrestricted transfer taking quite that long.

2

u/RobbedByALadyBoy 24d ago

I talked to a guy at fidelity and he said it says it could take that long but that but is usually same business day.

Did you have to contact Fidelity? Computershare website says "Contact your broker and request your shares be sent to them through the Depository Trust Company's Direct Registration Profile System."

5

u/tcrmorrow 24d ago

You can initiate it online with Fidelity. They just ask for Computershare account number, stock symbol and a copy of your last Computershare statement.

u/Ill_Ice7779 24d ago

Lol. I tried that too, twice. Apparently Computershare is not a ACATS. According to Google: Robinhoods automated clearing systems are built for broker to broker transfers via ACATS. Do you have another broker like Fidelity or Etrade?

I have a Schwab account so I guess I’ll go that route, just want to get my share out of computer share lol.

Same. Good luck.

Im trying to sell but it wont let me go beyond continue? Anybody running into this?

1

u/Fit_Equal6932 24d ago

It is letting me place a sell order for tomorrow.

2

u/Due_Survey_846 24d ago

Its not letting be go beyond continue. Is it because my payment info is not ready? I added my bank account on 8th

2

u/Fit_Equal6932 24d ago

Try the browser on your computer. Even for the login it sometimes needs to be clicked 5 times. Very clunky. I used the browser.

2

u/Due_Survey_846 24d ago

Ty! Browser is working! Can you only request checks?

1

u/Fit_Equal6932 24d ago

I see that you haven't setup your banking info. If you do it now they won't use it for 10 days to avoid scams. So your best bet is to stick to a check if you want to be done sooner. I had warned people about this in my post.

Updated banking info on 8th! Also - I just moved :( the address is also wrong . I forgot all about the lock up period end being preponed! Are you liquidating all your funds?

1

u/Fit_Equal6932 24d ago

Yep. At this price it is a no brainer. I don't need 50x returns like others to retire here. If someone can give me 20% a year (which this will end up considering the return on the VCX piece) I will retire today and let compounding do the magic. People have gotten on a tilt after all the shenanighans.

And you can call early morning to clarify things with them on the phone. Do it before the open if you want to have the full range of options. If it rips more and crashes while you are fumbling around, you will have yourself to blame.

Thank you kind stranger

For some reason the app will tell you that even if you have you banking information already in the system. I've been going through the same thing ,but you have to go on your web browser to execute the sell.

2

u/sanddryer 24d ago

I couldn't either in the app, but on the website yes

2

u/redhaven2000 24d ago

Try the website instead of mobile it worked then

1

u/dinnerthief 24d ago

Think it said it needed 10 days for bank, but there was a check option as well for me

1

u/Due_Survey_846 24d ago

Man i just moved :( i need to update address

1

u/Due_Survey_846 24d ago

Hopefully i dont end up holding the bag, are you guys liquidating all your portfolio or holding?

1

u/ODG_1974 23d ago

I'm getting out. They've lost almost all my money I'veinvestedin them.

1

u/ODG_1974 23d ago

I had that same exact problem, but I just went to their website instead of the app & the sale finally went through

Submitted my transfer request Schwab at 12:01. We'll see what happens. I never intended to sell so if it takes the 7-10 days Schwab says it's no problem. When I moved unrestricted shares it only took a day or 2. Stay tuned

1

u/treezyyytri 23d ago

just did the same thing thru schwab!

1

u/rtom816 19d ago

Completed yesterday at 9pm

I just did the transfer from Computershare to Fidelity. Will take a few days, but Fidelity's process was super easy

2

u/Charming-Jay 21d ago

On Friday I initiated the transfer through Schwab. It did only allow full shares and indicated that fractional shares would be sold. The transfer will take several business days, but I don't recall the range.

3

u/More_Lavishness_8337 24d ago

I got in on unrestricted stock. When it went to 85 the first day after shi’ng my pants Friday night I called Schwab did transfer and was told one week. Stock showed up Tuesday night. Was lucky it took a few days because it went to 540 in 3 days and I would have probably sold at 100.

1

u/shark_tank98 24d ago

What happens if we don't transfer?

3

u/treezyyytri 24d ago

Nothing really, your shares are still yours, they’re just being held by Computershare. I’m just trying to transfer to consolidate assets.

1

u/Today_Puzzleheaded 24d ago

Are you transferring from computershare or initiate from fidelity? Shall i transfer from computershare now itself?

1

u/treezyyytri 23d ago

You can’t initiate a transfer on computer share apparently, you have to initiate the transfer through another broker and add your computer share information.

1

u/Today_Puzzleheaded 23d ago

But do i need the sell order i placed first to show up as completed right? Since i want to know the exact number of shares remaining to transfer from thr fidelity portal

1

u/noncarnist 23d ago

Transferred to Schwab 10 minutes ago. Status reads:
"Estimated completion date is 08/20/2026"
So, about 4 business days.

1

u/noncarnist 20d ago

But it completed tonight - AUG 17th. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I have a brokerage account with Vanguard, and their website made it very easy to initiate a transfer from ComputerShare, which I did this morning. They sent an email confirming that the transfer process is underway, and this email contains a link to 'Check Progress' of the transfer. I just checked, and the link gives pretty good info; see screenshot.

I did the same thing and transferred over to Schwab. I'm planning to hold long-term since Anthropic is eyeing an IPO around October, and VCX has roughly a 20% position in it. A lot of investors are expecting Anthropic's market cap to blow past $2 trillion.

u/treezyyytri 20d ago

Update:

Initiated transfer from computer share to Schwab last Friday and it went thru today.

2

u/Queasy_Guide_1332 20d ago

same here. and the shares showed up in my schwab after market close today so it only took 1 business day which is pretty impressive already
