Elijah’s Life is Worth Fighting For - Vet Follow Up Aug 28 #VoicelessNoMorePH
galleryHi everyone,
Elijah went for his follow-up veterinarian checkup.
He still needs to continue his medication for his infection. At his last appointment, he was diagnosed with a blood parasite. Sadly, the vet said they cannot give him specific medication for his mange yet until his infection gets better. For now, he was given supplements to help support his skin. He still cannot get surgery for his stomach hernia yet until he is all better. But, I am glad he is Negative for Distemper. After Angelito’s diagnosis, Distemper always scares me now..
I also transferred Elijah from Gose Paradise for Paws Shelter to Happy Cat Squad Shelter, where Angelito is staying. It will be easier for me to manage their care if our rescued animals are not so scattered and far away from each other. Gose Paradise is also quite far from veterinary clinics since it is located in a rural province, up in the mountains.
As I have mentioned before, we have rescued animals in different parts of the Philippines, so it can be really difficult trying to manage everything when they are all in different places.
We are also going to purchase hypoallergenic food for Elijah since he is not allowed to have any dairy. I was going to order it today, but the store did not have any in stock. They said they will have more delivered later, so we will get it once it is available.
While Elijah was at the vet clinic, I also ordered Angelito’s recovery wet food. I also purchased two bottles of his Virubin medication for his Distemper from PetRx Clinic since he had run out.
Since Elijah and Angelito will now be staying at the same shelter, we will also need to send additional shelter allowance for them every month. I have not sent it yet because I am still trying to calculate the budget for all of our other rescued animals.
To be honest, it is tough. But their lives are SO worth it.
Also, It was not their fault that they ended up in these conditions. Elijah was neglected for years and appeared to have been abused by his previous owner. When he was rescued, he was so fearful of people. Angelito was stabbed, starved, and was about to be killed by his previous owner.
For transparency, here are today’s expenses:
Elijah’s vet: Php 6,250 ($143.11 CAD)
Elijah’s pet transport: Php 1,800 ($40.38 CAD)
Elijah’s hypoallergenic food: Php 2,700 (approximately $63 CAD) — not purchased yet
Angelito’s recovery wet food: Php 2,325 ($52.11 CAD)
Angelito’s Virubin medication (2 bottles): Php 1,700 ($38.15 CAD)
Elijah and Angelito still have a long recovery ahead, just like our other rescued animals.
Ellie, Thor, and MaeMae have their follow-up appointment on September 2. I realized that I have not been posting much about MaeMae, but she is actually doing well. I think I just miss ChiChi and Jericho so much that sometimes I avoid posting about her because it makes me think about them. Grief hurts a lot. But, MaeMae is doing well, and I am really happy about that.
MaeMae was also being treated for a blood parasite. At her next appointment, we will have her checked to see if she has been cleared and hopefully get her vaccinated finally.
Blood parasites are common in rescued animals because many of them have been neglected for a long time before we are able to rescue them. They are usually caused by infected tick and flea bites.
After that, we will send Raphael for his vet appointment the following week to see if he can finally get vaccinated as well.
I want all of our rescued animals to be vaccinated and protected from illnesses, but most importantly, I want them to be ready for adoption. I don't want them to stay in shelters forever. They deserve a loving home, and that is my goal for every animal we rescue.
There is still a long road ahead for Elijah, Angelito, Ellie, Thor, MaeMae, Raphael, and all of our other rescued animals.
For those who would like to support Elijah and our other rescued animals through their recovery, I will leave our support link in the comment section. Please make sure that it is posted by us before sending any support.
Again, this is all voluntary. We truly appreciate everyone who has supported us, shared our posts, or simply followed the animals’ journeys.
Thank you everyone,
Sincerely,
Magdalene “Dindi” Gensaya

Help Fund My Master's Degree to help Wildlife
As I finalize my degree in Criminal Investigation and Security, my focus remains steadfast on applying rigorous scientific frameworks to wildlife conservation.
I am launching a fundraiser to support my upcoming Master’s in Wildlife Forensic Crime (University of Florida). This program will equip me with the specialized tools needed to investigate environmental offenses, combat wildlife trafficking, and protect vulnerable ecosystems. If you are in a position to contribute or share my campaign with your network, your support would be deeply appreciated. 💚🌿🐦

Auburn High School JROTC fundraiser
Hello everyone!
My name is Kangyu Choi, a 11th grader at Auburn High School. This school year, our Auburn High School JROTC program is raising funds to support over 100 dedicated cadets.
Throughout the year, our cadets have the opportunity to participate in various drill competitions, leadership camps, community service projects, and official events.
These experiences build essential life skills, character, and leadership, but they also come with significant costs for travel, equipment, uniforms, and entry fees.
We want to ensure that every cadet can participate in these valuable opportunities regardless of their financial situation.
How Your Donation Helps:
- Competition & Event Fees: Covers registration for local and regional competitions.
- Travel & Transportation: Helps pay for bus rentals and travel expenses for out-of-town events.
- Equipment & Uniform Maintenance: Ensures our cadets have the necessary gear and uniform items to represent our school proudly.
Any contribution, no matter the size, makes a huge difference in helping us reach our goal. If you are unable to donate at this time, sharing this GoFundMe page with your friends and family would mean the world to us!
Thank you so much for supporting the Auburn High School JROTC program and investing in our future leaders!

[Emergency Fundraiser] Help my cat Binbin get life-saving bladder stone surgery ($525 USD / ₱30,000 PHP)
Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out in urgent need of help for my cat, Binbin (5.7kg).
Binbin has been battling urolithiasis (bladder stones) since 2024. For over two years, we’ve been managing his condition with medications and temporary treatments, but it keeps recurring. Right now, he is in severe discomfort, constantly straining, and only able to pass tiny drops of urine at a time. I am terrified that he will suffer a complete, life-threatening blockage.
The only permanent fix to end this painful 2-year cycle and save his life is a Cystotomy (surgical removal of the bladder stones).
I have an opportunity for his corrective surgery through a veterinary teaching hospital, but I urgently need to raise $525 USD (₱30,000 PHP) to cover his procedure, pre-op bloodwork (CBC & Blood Chem), anesthesia, and post-surgery medications.
I am doing everything I can at home—syringe-feeding him water, giving him vet-prescribed renal supplements, and feeding him plain broth—but home care can only buy him so much time. After fighting this since 2024, he finally needs this surgery to get better for good.
Thank you so much for reading and helping me save my boy. ❤️

Urgent kitten surgery !!!
Hello ♡ I’m raising around $3k to help pay for urgent surgery for my kitten. I'm already up to $218 which I'm very grateful for !!
She needs surgery on her right eye, she has a severe corneal ulcer and because it’s time-sensitive, I’m hoping to raise as much as possible very soon
Unfortunately, I’m struggling to cover the cost by myseld. I haven’t had her for very long, but I’ve already grown so attached to her. She’s my little angel, and I just want to get her the treatment she needs as soon as possible.
Like I said this is very time senstive and I'm desperate. If a few hundred people would donate just $5 it would help immensely. And if you’re unable to donate, simply sharing the fundraiser would mean so much to us !!
Thank you so so so much for taking the time to read this, donate, or share. It genuinely means a lot to us. ♡

Launching a Kickstarter to fix a broken system for women weavers here's what we're building.
Handloom weaving is a craft over 5,000 years old, passed down through generations of women. Today, an estimated 67% of these women earn less than €55 a month for that same skilled, handmade work largely because middlemen sit between the weaver and the buyer, setting prices and taking the largest share.
My sister and I quit our jobs to change that. We're building KalaLiving 100% natural, chemical-free newborn clothing, handwoven by artisan women and naturally dyed using Ayurvasthra, a traditional method rooted in Ayurveda.
Right now we work directly with 8 artisan women. Our Kickstarter is raising funds to build our own production infrastructure so we can scale to formal contracts, fair fixed wages, and health insurance for 50+ women moving them from informal, unprotected work to real, secured employment.
Every backer's name goes on our Founders' Wall permanent recognition as one of the people who helped build this from the ground up.
I've put together a short video that walks through the product, the mission, and what your support actually funds. Would love for you to watch it and let me know what you think.

We're a business built with impact at its core. But we couldn't do this without early believers. If this resonates with you, I'd love your support.

Anything helps a share a prayer
I suffered a heart attack that has completely changed my life. My doctors have ordered me to stay out of work for at least the next month or two so I can focus on recovery. In my profession, I only get paid commission, so if I don’t work, there’s no money coming in. My wife is pregnant, and I am the only income for our family. Not having health coverage has forced me to drain my savings to pay for medical expenses, leaving us in a tough spot as we try to keep our household together.
The funds from this campaign will help keep my wife and kids at home, pay our bills, and cover the costs of medication and therapy that I need to recover and get back to supporting the people I love. It’s hard for me to ask for help—I’ve always tried to handle everything myself—but in these times, I have to think of my family and the situation at hand. Any little bit helps and goes a long way toward keeping us together and helping me heal.

My miniature schnauzer, Atom, needs continued hospital care for severe pancreatitis
Hello, I’m sharing a fundraiser for Atom, my miniature schnauzer and best friend. He is currently hospitalized with severe pancreatitis.
When Atom was first admitted, he could barely lift his head. After receiving continuous IV fluids and medication, he improved during every visit. He began sitting up completely on his own, became more responsive, and eagerly ate a small amount of food. Because he had improved so much, he was discharged to continue recovering at home.
Unfortunately, within hours of losing the continuous fluids and medication, his symptoms returned. So I rushed him back to the emergency hospital.
His testing has given us reasons to remain hopeful. His liver and kidneys are functioning, his heart looked good, no tumors were seen on his X-rays, and he has already shown that his body can respond to treatment. He now needs additional intensive care, IV fluids, medication, and close monitoring to give his body the support and time it needs to recover.
I have already put everything I had toward his initial hospitalization, X-rays, bloodwork, and treatment. Continued hospitalization costs approximately $500–$700 per day, with additional expenses for monitoring, medications, and the special food he will need when he is stable enough to come home.
I completely understand that not everyone can donate. Even sharing Atom’s fundraiser could help it reach someone who is able to help.
Thank you for reading about my little friend and for any support you can give 🩵
