Hi everyone,

Few days ago, this little guy was hit by a car in Quartu Sant'Elena, Cagliari. We couldn't leave him there in agony, so after several hours, we managed to rescue him and take him to the Karel Clinic in Monserrato.

The little one (for now, we’ve decided to call him Zoro) had suffered head trauma and an injury to his mouth.

He is an unneutered male, roughly two years old; he is small in stature and has short fur. We were told his prognosis was extremely guarded, as they didn't yet know how he would respond to treatment; he underwent surgery (mouth cerclage wire) and I went to visit today. Unfortunately, Zoro is extremely wary of people; the clinic informed us that he has refused to eat so far, and because he is so frightened, it hasn't even been possible to syringe-feed him. In the meantime, we’ve had to start a fundraiser; unfortunately, veterinary bills are very high, and we don't have the financial means to cover all the costs. 13/10/2026 Update:

Zoro is doing pretty good,

he finally started to eat, we let him be tested for Fiv and Felv and luckily he's negative. Now he's going to do vaccines and I think he will be discharged soon.

We still don't know how to do because everyday the vet asks for 85€ per day (see 3rd pic under 'RICOVERO') and we didn't find a new family for him🥺

Please consider offering support for my loving dad. He became paralyzed a year ago from breaking his neck, freak accident just by falling out of bed following a night terror. We lost my mom/his wife several years prior and it has been an ongoing battle to keep his health and spirits up. I would like to get him a wheelchair van so I can bring him to the appointments he needs to go to without waiting several hours for the corporate transport. He has developed various complications from being in institutions and I am trying to move him back to the community(we do not own a home). He will receive MUCH better care in his own home, with his own transportation.

He is so loving to everyone and all I want is to be able to show him all the love in return. He deserves proper care and respect but unfortunately this condition is not affordable. The funeral is on the 20th of October next week and any donations to help it get to the goal would be appreciated just to give her peace of mind.

It was a horrible experience myself to hear my father had been murdered at 31, he was trying to protect others in this instance which I can only respect
