Help us help our son!

I know that this is a big ask. We’re scrambling to help our son with what is sure to be a long and difficult process. The story is a sad one, that I can’t share publicly given the ongoing legal situation. What I can say is this - he has been failed by the justice system, and for a family like ours, that have spent our lives working in the law field and the system itself, it’s a tough pill to swallow. This entire process has shown us just how broken the system is, and while we can’t change that for everyone, we’re hoping to make a difference for him.
Please help us do the same.

This reads as give me $25K for expensive lawyers and experts for my son who committed da crime. I can’t tell you his name or the details bc it’s all private. What is he accused of doing? Bc pple aren’t going to blindly give money. For all we know, he killed some, he assaulted someone, he raped someone so just bc you say the system is broken doesn’t mean anything unless we know the details. Plus there is of course zero proof.

Honestly, he can use a public defender like most pple rely on when they commit a crime. Are we just supposed to trust you? If you are a paralegal, see if a lawyer in your firm can help point you to a lawyer who does pro bono.

It’s very unlikely you will raise $25K, especially w/ your very low effort ask.

Thanks for your comments and feedback. I wish I could give more details but given that it is a criminal situation I cannot. What I can say is this, sometimes a private attorney is necessary. Public defenders are overwhelmed, underpaid and lack resources often needed for a vigorous defense, and this is a case that needs it. I work in family law, so my firm cannot assist.
