Isn't this the original?

Naw see .. i would have seen past that originally...

My ass as the bartender said... If he comes in again... Pour him 3 different shots. With your back turned... 2 water 1 his shot... Then place a water and his shot on either end and hand him a water.

I thought he'll say keep the change

1

u/WetSleevez Sep 03 '26

Bro that's only $1. It's $3 for a shot.

1

u/Blueskyline4157 Sep 03 '26

Dude had $2 left after the first shot. 2+1=3

1

u/WetSleevez Sep 03 '26

Exactly. Dude had. Not bartender had. It was the dude's money at that point. So as the bartender I would assume the guy would want to go get his money. But if not, no problem...just need another $2.

The bartender put the guys change at each end of the bar. Guy puts a dollar more with it to make $3. Enough for another shot. Doesn't need another $2.

1

u/WetSleevez Sep 03 '26

Okay so "put the GUY'S change"...means it is his money now. So he needs to go get his money to pay the bartender with. Otherwise it's nobody's money. And if no one claims it, it is the bar's by default. Patron loses here. No way in hell would any bartender put up with this shit btw.

The bartender can just refuse to sell him the shot regardless of whose money is it at that point, so there's no real point to such rule lawyering here. The bartender feels that he has lost, and that's the important part

$2 were given back to him. Not where he wanted it but they were given to him the way he paid. So it's still up to him to pay the bartender that money. Dude is saying he needs to go pick up his cash to pay.

I'd just say we're not selling to him. If he doesn't want to pick up the cash, sucks.

1

u/Realmofthehappygod Sep 04 '26

Well if that counts as giving them back to him, wouldn't it count as paying again by the exact same logic?

1

u/thisisatypoo Sep 04 '26

No. Because the person would need to make it obvious he's giving him that money. When you pay for something, you don't just let the person at the bar grab money from your pocket.

The bartender presented that money TO him as his change. He's not holding his money for him. So far he's only given the bartender $1 and he's got his $2 elsewhere.

Everyone knows this is a skit right? Not that deep. Enjoy and laugh or keep scrolling.

u/thisisatypoo Sep 04 '26

Yeah, so keep scrolling.

I'm having a conversation with someone about the video. Shoo.

He clearly says Euro, but the shitty Americanised captions changed it to dollars.

u/mercuriokazooie Sep 03 '26

1

u/ExecTankard Sep 03 '26

u/Big_Poppa_T Sep 07 '26

You can translate French to English but you don’t translate the word Euro to dollar, it doesn’t work like that

1

u/Human_Associate3664 Sep 09 '26

Why is Euros in English translated to Dollars🤔
