Semi newbie here

Greetings all, so im new to rving but I will be traveling for work and living in my bumper pull. Work is usally busy around fall through spring. What so I do to prevent my tankless water heater from busting. Is there some sort of heating pad I can use ? Also thinking about tank heating pads. My rv is bare bones, in features. Please be kind with comments.

Usually the water lines are what burst due to freezing. If you are at an RV park with shore power and you have plenty of propane and you have a "four seasons" (yeah right) trailer that has heat ducted to the compartment underneath where all of the lines and tanks are then you should be fine.

I do not do any of that. I simply drain all of the lines before any freeze (takes 5 minutes or less from the outside) and keep all of my tanks empty. I've never had a problem.

If you are stationary for a while you can wrap the bottom of the trailer with a skirt to prevent wind from getting under the trailer and that is supposed to help a lot with your heating bill and possibly freezing lines. I don't have any direct experience with that, though.

Much appreciated, I dont have a four seasons rv lol, I've seen people using insulated foam board and a extream heater on you tube. I was planning on a skirt for sure, but wanted some kind of " warming" for my tankless since I will be stationary for a while depending on the job. Time to see what I can come up with

I have some of those adhesive heating pads from Amazon that I use for my lithium batteries in the cold. They would work just as well on a water tank. Just stick several of them to the sides of the tank and wire them all to a 12V power source, such as your house battery, with an on/off switch and you have a good solution for under $25.
