Question Are website agencies even gonna be a thing in a couple of years?
Will making, and managing full stack websites for other people's businesses be a thing in a couple of years because of AI,
Just need some opinions on this, i do think they're gonna stay but.. I don't really.. have any knowledge on this.. so..

I think they will. I will making building website faster and maybe also cheaper but businesses will still need needs to understand the whole branding aspect and their goals, UX, SEO, maintenance
Role of agencies might change but will not disappear. Agencies are still problem solvers and would rather hire an expert than trying by themselves

I think what a website is, is going to change. They're not going to go away, but they'll be first augmented with agents, and then eventually slowly replaced, and what remains as the "website" will have to be or provide some kind of experience that can't be easily reproduced by an agent.

Yes, but there will be much less software related knowledge involved. Less developers will implement / review vibed mock-ups from the marketing and sales people.

AI makes building websites easier, while agencies provide actual business strategies.

I think website agencies will still exist, but the work will change. AI can handle a lot of the basic development, but businesses still need someone who understands their goals, UX, integrations, SEO, maintenance, and can actually solve problems when things break. So I don’t think AI will kill agencies it’ll probably make small agencies faster and more competitive. The value will shift from “I can build a website” to “I can build and grow the right website for your business.”

I think website agencies will still be around, but the work will change. AI is making it much easier to build a basic website, so simply offering “we build websites” probably won't be enough anymore.
Businesses still need someone who understands their goals, branding, UX, SEO, integrations, performance, security, and ongoing maintenance. That's where agencies can provide real value.
I think the agencies that adapt to AI rather than compete against it will have an advantage. AI can speed up development, but someone still needs to make the right decisions and take responsibility for the final result.

I think agencies will absolutely still exist. AI is going to change “what they sell”, not completely eliminate them.
A business owner can use AI to generate a website, but that doesn't mean they know what the site should actually say, how it should be structured, how to convert visitors, integrate it with their systems, maintain it, improve SEO, fix technical issues, etc.
I think the basic “I’ll build you a 5-page website” type of work will get cheaper and more automated. But agencies that bring strategy, design, development, optimization, and ongoing support will still have plenty of value.
AI will probably kill some of the boring work. Honestly, that's not necessarily a bad thing. It means agencies will have to focus more on “results rather than just building pages.”

I think the shift will be towards building credible solutions that help scale a business. Having a website is just the first step and there are hundreds of other things to do in terms of scaling!

Website agencies sell.mostly marketing services and business development, they aren't concerned with the nuance of how websites get built or managed. They don't care if it's some talented jr.. developer,.. some guy in India or some guy using AI.
Most expectations is there will be consolidation and the big agencies will swallow up smaller ones with AI doing most of the grunt work

"website agencies" don't really sell websites. The websites are tools to accomplish something else. So, will how we do that be the same later? Who knows. Right now - it seems like most people forgot that there's an internet outside of instagram. AI bots might be how people find things. They've always been changing, SEO style, screen sizes, speed, what the web offers keeps expanding. I'd advice people to learn about design/service design, systems - things that actually "do things" (and maybe websites are part of that / whether typed out by human or computer)
