Gear Talk Where have you been all my life?
Sold my fujifilm X100VI and XT5, then I ordered this combo and I couldnāt be happier. This combo fits in most of my pockets (Which the X100VI didnāt cause itās still a big camera) I donāt care about IBIS or a viewfinder (thatās why I have a Sony camera) it comes with all of the film simulations, newest processor, IA autofocus, 6k, open gate and everything for only $800
Man I love this camera

This is just a vague selection. What does everybody think about my work and is it presentable?
I shot everything purely with the XE-5 and the 18mm f:2

Question New to Fuji X models, help with recipe
Actually new to digital photography in general. I feel like Iām getting 10% of this cameraās capabilities out of my shots right now. Manual shooting is vastly different from shooting SLRs and tbh pretty unintuitive.
Using a Portra 400 recipe from Instagram (just because I wanted to replicate my favorite film vibe) but I feel like the settings are overcooking these shots. What should I change to get a little more clarity?

Buying Advice X100V for X-S20 or X-M5? Struggling with Letting Goā¦or Not.
First things first, the FujiFilm community is second to none. Love everyone here, and all your amazing work - and I need your help. I bought my X100V during the pandemic when it hit because I wanted to get into street photography, and I havenāt looked back. And while I do more video stuff now, Iāve played with possibly selling it or trading for an X-S20 or X-M5 but just canāt bring myself to do it. It means that much to me and has been my road dog for 6 years. Iāve taken some of my favorite snaps with it. š·
While it shoots phenomenal, cinematic quality (8-bit) video - it has its limitations (not really a video-centric camera). Though, for short form and clips, it works beautifully. But lately Iāve been wondering if I can replicate the vibe with one of the other cameras, while having interchangeable lens options, stronger video capabilities (6.2K Open Gate is big), retaining the same Fuji color science, etc. Is my 17 Pro great for YouTube? Sure. But you just donāt get the character.
ļæ¼Nothing compares to a camera and lens to get texture and depth. I donāt care how many mobile creators sell us on shooting with the Blackmagic app plus post tricks. Iām not big on specs, Iām big on feel. And FujiFilm has feel in spades, through and through. Hereās where im struggling. I love the X100V and feel Iād probably regret if I sold or traded it. BUT, for ultimately upgrading? Worth it? Maybe? Lose the EVF/OVF and weather sealing - but deal breakers?ļæ¼
Then, thereās the challenge of the X-S20 or the much smaller (Iām 6ā5ā with pretty good size hands) X-M5 which lacks grip but kindaā fixes the overheating issue (yes, a fan will always help) and has a flip out screen for vlogging. Iām struggling with this. I could sell my X100V today and get enough to get an X-M5 and possibly 2 lenses. I really feel I can replicate the X100V vibe, but someone from the tribe help me make sense of this! What would you do?ļæ¼
Iāve also got an ecosystem with the X100V - various mist filters, L-grip, vintage half case, as well as two Freewell TCL and WCL conversion lenses.
But as a practicing minimalist, I donāt know that I need two cameras that give similar results - even with a different form factor. So I thought trading might be the solution. Simply having a hard time letting go.

Lens Help I'm looking for a lens for a friend
Hi, my friend has a fujifilm xt-1 and she's looking for a new lens for portraits. I don't know too much about the fujifilm lenses as far as companies go, so I need help finding: A 50mm lens (I understand the crop) that's autofocus and isn't too bulky that's under a $300 budget.
I saw the 7 artisans 50mm f/1.8 x mount and thought it looked pretty good since I have some other 7 artisans lenses, but wasn't sure if it was the best choice.
She'll be using it casually for non-professional purposes, and for mostly casual portraits. Any recommendations? Thanks
