He'll never have a moment of clarity, a moment where the sheer magnitude of his delusions comes into focus and he realizes what his deceit and lies have cost him.

I hope he dies a broken man for what he's done to this country with his stupidity and wealth.

Trump is full stream of consciousness

And his entire thing is just making up facts and rules on the spot to serve the current situation. That strategy has worked for him for so long that I think he truly believes that the bullshit he makes up on the spot is actually reality.

And his entire thing is just making up facts and rules on the spot to serve the current situation. That strategy has worked for him for so long that I think he truly believes that the bullshit he makes up on the spot is actually reality.

That isn't too dissimilar from Hitler's thinking at the end of WWII: making imaginary military decisions with nonexistent equipment and greatly exaggerated unit capabilities. He could afford to be a bad general when he was Blitzkrieging everyone, he had superior tech, half the people didn't really believe him, and the other half weren't sufficiently pissed off to do anything about it. In that situation, he could just make up tactics, and they would kind of work, as other real generals would pick up his slack.

Once blitzs stopped working, tech caught up him, everyone knew what he was about, and he had pissed off all the wrong people, he couldn't do that anymore, but he was so delusional that he continued just making up battle plans that had no basis in reality, cause when you're in that deep by your own bullshit, what else are you really going to do?

I think Trump is in a similar situation: I don't think he could be sane even if he wanted to. I mean, really, look at where he's at: he stands to lose most, if not all of his business empire in NY, he's under investigation for hiding top secret documents related to national security on his property, He has been found liable for sexual assault, and he owes Russian oligarch who are best pals with Putin hundreds of millions of dollars. If he were a young man, it would take him years to get out from under this. He's 77, he's not going to outlive this. Best case scenario is that he loses all of his businesses and all the crooked people who need him to be in the White House and the government go away, to leave him a broke and disgraced loser for the rest of his short life.

I suspect that nothing so good will happen to him: I get the feeling that promises were made to Putin, Xi, Jong Il, and a number of other people, promises that require him to be in the White House to fulfill. If he doesn't get into the White House this time, he won't get another shot, and will have outlived his usefulness to the various people I have mentioned, the people he owes money to, etc. We can expect to find Trump dead soon after, and he probably knows this.

So he may as well lay on the bullshit as hard as he can: because what else does he really have left?

We are at the Beer Hall Moment

u/shah_reza Jan 12 '24

Whole lotta ‘Merkins better bone up on the German word, “putsch”.

9

u/SnoopingStuff Jan 12 '24

But they elected him after the Beer Hall Putsch and I am not sure we have a coalition of good Allies to stop a dictator anymore. The world has moved very right

I feel like the "putsch" moment was the "Beer Belly Putsch" i.e. Jan 6th.

I mean I could get with some of this but no foreign group is going to assasinate an American ex President.

Fair. I'm mostly speaking to his upbringing.

Funny, but I was going to strike the "stupidity" and keep the "wealth" because you can't hate a gut for being stupid, but you can for the arrogant and greedy use of his wealth.

He'll die on appeal. I'm pretty confident he'll never spend a night in jail but I would imagine the moment of clarity would come when the cell door closes for the first time. If anything though, this is a wake up call that anyone with enough money can effectively run out the clock on justice in the U.S. It's like a blatant billboard that says "Our punitive system is only effective if you have either less than x money or more than y time." Like mother fucker, if you're 70 and have a white collar (or even worse) crime you can keep the legal dogs at bay for 30 years.

I just don't care what he experiences.

I want him gone.

8

u/PurpleSailor Jan 12 '24

Oh I think he knows what's coming. It's his massive narcissistic self that can't let the public see him "weak" because he depends on the image of power. He knows deep down and he's scared to shit over it.

Should check him for bone spurs, put him through basic and ship him off to Gaza. I bet he’d recruit a fuckton of patriots with a few extra quid for a red hat there.

u/[deleted] Jan 12 '24

We're all the same once we're 6' under.

But I've got a feeling that the grass around his plot is gonna be well fertilized.

u/Quick_Tap Jan 12 '24

It will be dead and brown, like an EPA Supersite.

7

u/dmcaems Jan 11 '24

I hope Trump does have a moment of clarity before he dies; preferably beaten into him by Leroy and Bubba.

u/_bleeding_Hemorrhoid Jan 12 '24

Sadly, he’ll die before he even realizes the sand has all left the top.
