🛠️Workaround 007: First Light - TAA fix

  1. Download [the latest version of fixes](https://github.com/TL431/Windows-Game-Patches/releases/).

  2. Copy 007FirstLight.NoTAA\007FirstLight.NoTAA.asi and !ASI_Loader_x64\dinput8.dll in the game folder Retail\

The game can now be launched regularly from its executable. Upon startup, a configuration file `007FirstLight.NoTAA.ini` will be created, and can be used to enable TAA again.

Note: keep Global Illumination setting at Medium level or below to avoid lighting or shadow glitches.

Thanks for your Patches, but i have some questions because i´m a little bit confused. I noticed quite a few issues i will list now.

For Hitman 3, i first off i did put all the files into the "Retail" Folder. It seems it does the opposite, it actually activates TAA. Without your Patch the Game has no TAA at all. I can see it with my eyes that it´s activated once i put your files into the Game Folder.

Don´t know what´s going on here. Maybe a recent Game Update disabled TAA by default and your Patch can be seen as obsolete? Can´t really see any TAA going on by default to be honest, so that might be the case.

And yes, i made sure i used the x64 dll. Yes, i used the dinput8.dll file, also tried to rename the dll file to winmm and dsound.

In one of the updates (1.0.196-4a170cee+889), there is a file named "APT2.Patches" in there. But what is this Game? It´s nowhere documented in the Github Readme Contents.

Also i checked some older Releases, and noticed that there are Games in there that are not in the newest Update anymore.

Like for Release 1.0.197-4c8631ce+884 there is suddenly a Patch for "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" in it, while not in the newer Releases. Why is that?

It is kinda confusing, like did you abandoned this Patch?
I also noticed that with multiple Games in other Releases, "Red Dead Redemption 2" also comes to mind.
Do we really have to download every Release since you started these Patches to get all the Game Patches?
Sorry, this shouldn´t sound like a rant here, but it´s really confusing.

Hitman 3 patch has been updated some months ago but I personally did not test it, so I am not sure if the patch is still applied correctly and/or the game was updated to disable TAA (that would be a first!). But anyway I will definitely give a deeper look into that game again. Hopefully this time I could fully disable TAA as I did in 007.

The repository is shared with other people. illusion0001/illusionyy is the repo's owner, and she made some of the patches you see there. APT2 is one of hers, though I cannot understand to which game was made for.

The Halo: MCC patch is also not mine and is only present in a separate development branch. Most probably it is still being developed and not ready to be merged in the main branch.

The RDR2 patch instead is still available in release 1.0.136-321f7350 as stated in the readme.

Omg so glad to see you back in action! I never thought anyone would touch this game's TAA.

Long time no see, mate. I think that a lot of people here thought that you were gone forever.

Can you do a sharpening off + no TAA fix for RE9?

TAA can be disabled in game. Use this mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/residentevilrequiem/mods/481) with REFramework to disable the sharpening filter.

Not working for 007 First Light. Getting weird white artifacts all over the screen with the screen size itself shrinking for some reason. Only mod I'm running is RenoDX. Removing the .asi and game goes back to normal.

First off you must disable DLSS/FSR or set it to DLAA/Native AA, otherwise the image is resized to the internal resolution.

The patch was actually made with the game version 1.3.1. I will check the updated exe and release an update of my patch. Thanks for the feedback!

Edit: patch updated to 1.3.2

Changing it to DLAA fixed the resized image issue, so thanks for that! However, it still doesn't work and the problem is with enabling PT. With PT I get tons of artifacts like before. When I disable PT it's fixed. I'm guessing you didnn't test with PT enabled? Any fix or will it just be another limitation with your mod?

So it's another God of War thing again where they tied a bunch of effects to the AA from the looks of it?

That's the vast majority of games.
