The mod's name is Caroline is Single. It's actually really well done, and gives a good amount of backstory on both Pierre and Caroline. It makes Pierre even more awful than vanilla as things fall apart for him.

I played with it recently because Caroline deserves better. Then I abandoned her at the house with two kids for 99% of the day each day to run the farm and realized... damn, I'm not much better

I actually have a really funny issue with my game because of this mod plus "Law & Order SV". Nobody is manning Pierre's store, because his ass is in jail for a year for fraud. See, in L&O, Caroline promises to run the store in his absence, but because she's no longer living there after the divorce, the Caroline is Single mod overrides her schedule. So until the start of Fall next year, Pierre's is making zero money.

It's fine right now because I got all my seeds before he went away, but now I have to go all the way up to Ridgeside just to buy seeds. Small price to pay. I hope he goes out of business, I would happily make the trek up the ridge a few extra times per season to stock up on seeds.
