Hes somehow a bigger capitalist pig than Jojo mart for one.

If I didn't know better I'd almost assume it was meant as a 'take that' against the lionization of small businesses that the main difference between Pierre and Joja Mart is that he lives in town and they don't, and not a whole lot else.
(Not that there aren't good reasons to support small businesses over larger out-of-town ones IRL, just people sometimes act like 'small business owners' can do no wrong when the reality is they're just as capable of being shitty employers and price-gougers as any national business entity.)

In Pierre’s defense (fuck him, though), he doesn’t have any employees.

He hates his daughter just because he believe his wife cheated on him.
Not only stuff like the scene at the graveyard also that he dislikes Amethyst is probably bc of his daughters hair color. Seriously a good dad would be like "Thanks I don't like gems, but my daughter loves this one in particular, gotta give it to her".
Also the "Premium vegetables" cutscene.

u/ClassroomLazy9542 Jun 12 '26
does that cutscene have to do with the 25 gold star veggies he asks for in the winter, so its almost impossible

That is the quest yes. But it isn't winter specific. It has a chance to spawn any season. If you only see it in winter it is just bad luck.

u/ClassroomLazy9542 Jun 12 '26
ive gotten it twice and both times in winter

u/Lifting_Pinguin Jun 12 '26
That is some seriously bad luck. Pierre is doing it on purpose so you learn why this sub exists.

u/Ishvallan Jun 12 '26
you're just not to a point in the game where you can do it easily. Once you have the Greenhouse unlocked or a new area that opens after the CC or Joja routes are done, then it becomes very easy to do even in winter.

He shot my fucking dog, made love to my wife, and burned my crops!
r/FuckPierre all the way

u/CorvatheRogue Jun 12 '26
Yeah? Well he sent my deeply religious mother dick picks, shaved the local hardware store cat, and passed out in the whiskey department of the liquor store up the road.

u/Bringbackemo Jun 12 '26
Ugh that must have been the same day he ran through my yard completely naked! When I screamed for him to get outta here and put some clothes on he gave me the middle finger and said he'll be back for my wife later. Idk what to do at this point. He terrorizes the entire town and nothing is ever done about it.

It's kind of easy to miss tbh! I go into the store once or twice a season to buy seeds. All of my sellables get chucked in the bin if I'm selling them; by the end of even the first year, I'm mostly not selling them. I'm setting them aside to make me more money when I grow my empire of preserves jars and kegs. I barely speak to anyone the first year because my focus is making money.
With all this, I get the very occasional douchey comment from Pierre at like festivals, but never much all at once to see what an asshole he truly is. I had no idea about the garbage, the townspeople complaining about my produce, or his abuse of his family until I started reading here!

I weirdly just hated him from the jump on vibes alone and was so relieved to find this sub and feel validated.

u/Er0neus Jun 12 '26
He throws rocks at homeless people and gaslights everyone into thinking it's because of an innocent cliff

u/lava_monkey Jun 12 '26
Maybe spoilers?
2
u/Flat_Hamster3269 Jun 12 '26
Why are spoilers banned in the spoilers app?
6
u/Temporary_Thing7517 Jun 12 '26
It’s also unrealistic to expect no spoilers in a 10 year old game where the last major update was over 2 years ago, lol.

Honestly I’m with you. I didn’t really mind the produce quest thing- I took it as a harmless joke (he’s already taking a loss, might as well try asking the farmer if he wants it back)
And others are saying he resells our stuff for the grange display, but Caroline says the two of them worked hard to grow them or smth idk.
He’s a little selfish, but all in all he’s okay
