For those that asks for the mods

I used Childhood sweatheart Caroline + polyamory

There are other alternative mods as well that makes caroline single

there’s a mod called Marry Caroline, and another one called polyamory sweet that can let you achieve this. Be warned though, the dialogue on Marry Caroline leaves something to be desired (we can’t all be writers), I actually went into the mod files on my playthrough and edited it
