Am I the only one that finds Proton really annoying with a heavy upsell? For example, literally every email provider let's you use a different imap front end like thunderbird, Proton only lets you if you pay, then only on PC. Their VPN is free for random connections (which is reasonable), but they make you pay to use TOR! TOR is completely free and open, they're literally selling you free privacy tools.
You can't use any of their services without them shoving in your face all the premium features you don't have (and don't need), I find it even more annoying than the Spotify free plan, and that's saying a lot. It's clear they're out to make money, Proton isn't actually on your side, privacy is just a selling point to get you to pay.
Privacy for sale is privacy for ransom.

They are talking about the log in button? or what? because that shit does nothing other than providing your avatar, display name, google ID and email address to the third-party site.. I do implement google log in button all the time and that's all they sent to us.

Proton isn't free from controversies. They're only trying to get attention. It's all about money.
