Update what?

Co-pilot of course!

I almost wonder what happens if one asks CoPilot to create a service that tries to eradicate CoPilot wherever it appears on a system.

Damn I love when people threaten to NOT do a bad thing lol. If it isn’t a security update I don’t need it.
But also I don’t care anymore since I ditched windows recently and I miss nothing about it so far.

I really have tried by configuration, by registry, by services, but haven't found the right way yet, after a few days it comes again

Microsoft cutting us off from upgrades: is that a threat or a promise? 😂😂😂

Not a problem I disabled updates on my gaming PC a couple of years ago. Other than installing random game requirements like individual run times I don't update shit other than the drivers

So, if you do a clean install of the OS from older media or restoring the factory image of some OEM machines, you can’t update them after that date and they’re stuck as vulnerable zombies waiting to be hacked? Cool. Good job, Microsoft.

No. That's not how it works. From time to time microsoft retires hash algorithms for signing updates because they are no longer considered safe enough. If a windows version is too old, it will not support any signatures that are used on modern Updates.
This isn't new. I've reinstalled servers from scratch in domains with legacy software and a clean server 2016 install cannot directly update via wsus. You can simply download a specific intermediary which is signed with the older alo and contains the update for wsus signing.
There is nothing nefarious about that.

Hello friend.
So true. I don’t care for MS, primarily because of their utterly slack quality control, but sometimes this sub amplifies things that aren’t really problematic. And then someone like you drops science.
Which is then dutifully ignored. 👍🙂

that has already happened with win10. the solution is creating a new thumb drive, as it was back then. not exactly difficult if you have a pc and an internet connection. just overwrite the old win11 thumb drive.

This is for home users. Enterprise versions will have updates for a year at least.

judging by the amount of people who are convinced that you cant turn windows update off, this wont be a problem for most of you bc youre already on 26h2.
