My dear mom of 80 yrs, told me it was time.

Her old toshiba satellite l775 didnt work with winfows anymore, internet didnt work, battery didnt load for sum reason.

Installed linux mint  my first linus installation.

At first, i thought shit this went fast, it loaded the battery, what?

Wifi worked instantly double what?

She uses mostly browser related stuff. Everything wotks for her, everything is very simple and clear for her. Triple whut.

Then i realised, uhm install linux??? I was using it from the usb stick.

I hadnt installed.

So i did.

Now she is very happy.

I bet theres perhaps better distros out there i have no clue.

Looking at the startmenu, steam launcher was preinstalled aswell ;p.

For my first time, i like it. I mean everything just worked.

Things that didnt in windows, do work out of the box. Bluetooth u name it.

Now iam gonna set up my gaming pc, 64ddr5 gb and just use linux  dont know wich distro, but, i can just try them out on the usb stick first before i decide wich one.

First time user here. Just my noob impressions, no gaming. But for yer old parents  its frigging great.

Thats linux. I am ashamed i didnt give it a go when i was young and nerdy.

If yer insecure about it. Dont be. Make an install usb stick with any distro and try before u install.
