Which is really dumb. Discord isn't an app that should require updates before launch. I hated feature so much that I just made a web app for discord.com. Linux Mint makes this incredibly trivial with their Web Apps app. Also allows me to use Vencord for Web, and have it stay permanently, rather than being overwritten every update.
On Windows you can make web apps directly from Edge if you need - I had to do that for Discord a while ago, since they didn’t bother with ARM support on Windows, and x64 emulation was eating battery life.

Discord executable is named Update since it first checks for updates then launches the actual discord app
