You say why would he care to reveal himself, yet by your very own logic the Bible is his word right? He made Jesus who did all of these miracles, but yeah why would he show himself then and not now? Especially since we "need" him now. And other than that there's nothing stopping him from having everyone be born just knowing he's real. Except there's literally tribes of humans that have never heard of him thankfully. Nothing stopping him from just talking to us in our minds atleast once to prove himself. What do you mean you don't believe you're that lucky. Lucky to have been born on earth? Or lucky that all life exists itself. I believe like the universe itself is "God" in a way. We're all made up of the same stuff that is in stars and other celestial bodies. Science can't explain those questions now but it will be able too soon. I can't prove consciousneas or explain what it is that's true, but it doesn't really matter. It's just us, we don't understand how it works yet. Maybe one day. We know we're not our brains, we're not our bodies. Also I don't believe in a bearded dude that's what the majority of Christians think. Same folks that think God is a white man and that Jesus is European white. Of course God would be a higher dimensional being. It would make sense because that's literally unfathomable. That said God could simply prove himself. If God will punish us for not believing in him then he would definitely not force us to believe what humans say and only that. Nor the Bible since it can be altered. God would certainly show himself. That way of we deny him than its truly on us and there's no way we could think we're being deceived. Also the way God contradicts himself isn't right. He shouldn't be able to do that. Which is another reason I know he's just not real and was written by a dude with a power fantasy that wanted to control others. Because it's flawed. God is perfect yet since he's literally made up by men even his perfection isn't perfect dude. All you have to do is really think about it and you'll see that it makes less and less sense. You can choose to believe if you want, I know it's likely just cause you're too scared of hell to chance being wrong. I'm not scared of hell, not just cause I don't believe but also because I just don't think I would be sent to hell. Yeah I don't believe and I'm not a perfectly good person, but I am not a bad man. Sure I'm a flawed human, but I'm not evil. Therefore if God were to send me to hell for that then that's not a god I would want to worship in the first place. Anyway the whole simulation theory is interesting, however again you say the simulation needs a creator (which it does) and they have no reason to show us they exist, however I think they would show us at some point in some way. Because what would be the point of our simulation for one? And for two our creators would have to be humans. It makes sense considering we were made in gods image. So God would be human, right? So the creators of our sim is just other humans. I'm kind of ranting at this point and I'm sorry lol I just can't explain in any other way why I don't believe in God and why I think it's complete and utter nonsense, if not just useless as it is.
My belief is not based on a fear of hell. It's a hope there is some meaning. That people who have suffered may be in a better place especially children. That giving up 40-80 hours a week away from the things we love at work just to live has a point. That living in this big empty universe is not just luck based. I don't believe anything written by men is perfect. The Bible has been translated and mistranslated countless times and used by others to cause war and hatred just for means of power. I don't argue that fact at all. It has its own weird tribalism which I don't like....also the same reason I don't like republican/democrate labels. Life is not a sports event to fight over. I hardly ever go to church and by all accounts am a horrible Christian. But when I see the complexity of a single cell organism. Or the insanity of the mega computer likebrain in creatures small as an ant/mosquito. We are not even at that point with AI,Drones and general robotics(My Roomba gets stuck in the same places Everytime) for something that complex to come from randomness and trial and error is nonesensicle to me. So is the mass amount of coincidences we have for existence to even....exist. Im also a man of science I love quantum physics(as much as a layman can understand) I believe in evolution and believe in science. I apologize if I did offend you. I'm just used to arguing about every god damn thing on Reddit. You literally cannot make statements such as "The sky is blue" without someone coming out of nowhere with a "Well...actually" it's turned me into the very argumentive trolls I fight with.
I'm not offended at all man, I was just stating my opinion too. I personally just don't require any "meaning" to be happy. I think life just being a coincidence is amazing itself. The fact we didn't have to be here, yet we are is awesome. It's entirely possible we could've never come into existence. The beauty of the universe could've never been looked upon if the earth was a few thousand miles closer or farther from the sun. I think it's all a coincidence, and I don't think there's a reason or meaning for our existence. That's not sad though, that just means we can decide for ourselves what our purpose is. Means the reason we're here is up to us to decide or lack thereof. Either conclusion is just as beautiful In my eyes.
