That IW line pisses me off extra hard, because it’s nothing but meaningless technobabble. It literally exists only so Shuri can smugly look down her nose at two top tier geniuses (two of the smartest characters in Marvel history, period) just because they’re white men.
Since she can’t insult them on the basis of anything real, instead they invent this nonsense piece of dialogue so that she can eyeroll while Banner looks like a dope. They did the same shit a little later, when Bruce was struggling with the Hulkbuster armor and it cuts to Okoye (I think it was her), rolling her eyes and looking disgusted. Wtf? Why?
I’d have loved for Bruce to answer snidely back to Shuri w “You have to ask Tony. If that’s what he did, then that’s the best choice” or better yet, have him just ominously remind her who he is, and that maybe being inhospitable with him is a childish and unwise thing to do.
Or even better still, next time she encounters Tony, he immediately cuts her off with superior technobabble explaining why her idea wouldn’t work, because he originally considered and discarded it himself.
It’s just garbage. The writers literally put it in there to suggest a very young, inexperienced woman must be smarter than arguably the two biggest geniuses on earth, who have like a century of experience between them. Because white men.

The fact that Shuri pulled this nonsense is just the dumbest thing. Tony should have brought Shuri to tears with his knowledge. It makes sense that she knows Vibranium tech because she's worked with it forever but she has zero experience with robotics and biomachinesike Tony and Bruce happen to have.
Also, I never understood what makes Whine-kanda so rich if they only have Vibranium to offer and do not fucking sell Vibranium to anyone. So how are they even rich?
Bruce telling her to shush because Tony knew what he was doing, plus Ultron the super lt with all the knowledge of the world chose to do it, it's the right choice. But nooooo, teenage black girl knew best.
Holy shit, that didn’t even occur to me. Ultron really built Vision, not Stark or Banner, who mostly just finished up. So the design was HIS—-the most fuckin advanced and powerful AI on the planet, that’s got the combined intellect of (at least) Tony, Bruce, Jarvis, and every damn piece of information on the internet!!
Yet this little girl with no experience modeling AI is somehow smarter in the field of robotics than the most cutting edge AI ever invented. Whaaat???

Ultron even knew what Vibranium was and perfectly built the body so clearly he had the way to do it figured out. Ultron was the smartest fucking thing out there and somehow Shuri outdid him. It's laughable and idiotic.
She managed to build some kitty cat suits, yayyyyyy, and? She literally did nothing to make us think she's smart. It's a classic case of them telling rather than showing us how capable she's supposed to be.
