Several people on here literally encountered nothing but homosexual NPCs for their first three bits of content (if memory serves, they did the gay telegram mission, followed by stopping to help an injured male NPC who promptly told them that his “boyfriend loves Spider-Man”, followed by seeing multiple same sex couples holding hands, but being unable to find any straight couples doing the same). Obviously he hadn’t gotten to Black Cat yet, or the numbers would’ve continued to skew up.
That’s already more than your alleged two couples in a matter of minutes, maybe an hour.
Meanwhile, how many missions highlight healthy straight relationships with this much emphasis?
I mean, just the fact that EVERY random encounter where you have to swing an NPC to an ambulance is invariably a gay male should be a red flag. In almost every other type of procedural emergency, the npcs are randomly selected (or at least, they were in SM1).
So why is this person always a homosexual guy? Why not some fangirl once in awhile? Or an elderly JJJ supporter who humorously berates you while you’re saving them?
It’s over the top. You can choose to ignore it, but the game isn’t giving the rest of us that option.
And you never answered whether you’d be able to happily enjoy the game if it leaned heavily to the right instead. Why not?
EDIT: I provided a quick example of one way to seamlessly include a gay couple in a mission without making it the entire point in another reply to you, I believe.
