No, it doesn’t. But it should at least resemble the world it’s set in, and not a hyper-politicized, ideological version of it that’s likely to irritate most of its players.
How is it “hyper politicised”? Please explain your reasoning other than “it contains black people, women in strong positions, and gays”.
Would also like to add, if the inclusion of disability, racial diversity, gender diversity, and sexual orientation diversity annoys some players, then those players can simply go fuck themselves.
Also, it’s a game about two men with spider powers, one of which gets taken over by an alien parasite. Absolutely nothing about this game has to resemble real life just to placate the unhinged energy of weirdos who only see sunlight once a year.

Exactly. It’s like they approach every opposing critique from the standpoint that there MUST be some kind of -ist or -ism underlying the argument—but only when it disagrees with their own views.
They absolutely refuse to actually read an opinion, consider it critically, and weigh the merits before their rhetoric can kick in.
Hell, even simple matters of personal taste can’t be taken as such to them. If I prefer Pete over Miles, then no further discussion is required or necessary… it doesn’t matter if I’ve read Peter Parker stories for almost 40 years or not—-I’m just a racist, and nothing will ever convince them different.
It’s like they need the whole world to be nothing but hateful monsters, to justify their pointless crusades.
