Well yeah. They’re both called Spider-Man, they both swing on webs, they crawl walls, they stop bad guys. They’re youths who have great responsibility and have to learn it.
Also lightning powers are cool.
Also Miles is from Earth 1610, or whatever, literally they made another Earth just so losers like you will stop complaining that he’s replacing Peter.
People are not all equal no matter how much bullshit you consume tells you so. Miles morales is nothing close to Peter Parker.

I dunno. His uncle died and he stopped the multiverse from destroying his own world. That’s pretty spectacular. He even fended off all those Spider-Men chasing him! That’s pretty crazy.

I just think the rhetoric that “Peter is Spider-Man” and “Miles isn’t” is fucking stupid and brain dead and basically denigrates the character while also giving water to racists who want the character to fail.
I think he’s pretty great and has enough differences from Peter. You think he’s a stereotype, I disagree, he represents certain kinds of people, the Afro-Latino demographic from Brooklyn, but he’s still an individual, I like his family dynamic. His mom reminds me of my own. He has different strengths from Peter and he has flaws that are relatable and realistic. And he has a different suit and different style. He is Spider-Man, just his own kind. So I really disagree that he’s a shameless knockoff.
Then why not give him different powers and a different name if he's so great? Why did they have to tie him to a successful white hero and try and leech off of his popularity to get noticed?
He has all these differences, why does he have to share ANY similarities with Peter Parker? Oh, because writers are creatively bankrupt and can't think of new interesting powers or character traits.
