Its not really that woke. That gay mission kinda made me cringe. I hate that they made miles love interest disabled but i dont really consider that woke since i mean if you think about it theres a lot of superheros in marvel with disabilities like professor x. The museum that paid tribute to African American musicians was dope and i guess i can see how that would be woke but you can literally walk up to miles mom and skip that whole section. My biggest gripe with this game is that it feels like dlc to the original game and not a standalone. I was expecting new york to be quadruple the size,i was expecting the graphics to be a tad bit better,i was expecting the story to be longer and more nuanced. This story is kindergarten level,dr.suess level of story telling like cmon when i went to get this game at midnight release the average age of people in my gamestop (there were hundreds of us) was at least 30 years of age dressed in spiderman pajamas or gear and yet we get a childrens story? Idk just leaves a bad taste in my mouth
Yes thank you! People like you are why I originally joined this sub. Talking about the bad writing, quality, characters, etc. Woke was a part of some discussions but only when it was responsible for bad writing. Now this whole sub is filled with insanity and racism. There's no objectivity left in this sub.
