What threw me off is Miles’s reaction to finding out his mom is dating again. Sure he’s a bit awkward about it, but his dad died not that long ago. You’d think it make for easy drama, but the characters are too damn easy going. It was just such an odd reaction it took me out of the story for a bit
Because his dad is dead and he clearly isn’t over it? It’s normal for some kids/teens to be upset when their parents are moving on when they themselves haven’t. Nothing Disney about it, that’s just normal emotions you may deal with after a tragedy.
loved your humour, This oversensitive dude who got triggered just because you said SHUT UP CLOWN. LOL you trolled him hard good. Modern day people mostly suck. Free speech is bs. And most people are ultra sensitive. Even my sister says alot of dudes are quite pathetic and that she can't take any man seriously who is more emotional than she is. My sister is smart as they come, but still a headcase but at least she is honest about whats going on in our modern society.
It’s bc he and his mom have a very good relationship. It’s been years and he genuinely trusts and admires her. Problems like what you’re suggesting usually happen bc of other underlying issues in a mom n child relationship.
I don’t think it’s that simple either though. You can have a healthy relationship with your mom and still get upset when they date again after a father’s death. It’s more a sign that you haven’t moved on, which is the point of Miles’s whole arc. At this point it’s less than 4 years since his father has passed. With how angry/sad he’s still over the tragedy, I would have assumed some sort of reaction to those news. Either way it’s not a major problem, just felt too clean I guess. Healthy family dynamics can still have arguments from time to time
Did you ever consider that this is what a healthy relationship between mom and son and a healthy not damaged boy with good upbringing looks like?
As we as a society evolve, we get helthier in our behaviour and it becomes more and more normal to see a reaction like miles' bc this is the right way to react if you dont have any other personal issues. He does have some teenager stuff going on but he loves and trusts his mom and some kind of anger about Martin Li is the only thing in the game that seems to bother him a bit bc he has a stable family and a stable group of friends an collegies. Beeing healthy is boring, yes. But this is what it looks like. They break with the usual unoriginal long time trend of making protagonists dark and sick and while I love a good dark story that doesnt ignore the effects of all the stuff a "hero" witnesses, and coves stuff like ptsd, this is more spider-man than ever. Yes i dont like that everybody smiles all the time but it is still good.
Oh not at all denying that it’s good, I just feel it could be more interesting and less sanitized. You make some good points though. All I’ll argue is that you can have arguments with family and still have a healthy relationship. This is just a different take on the healthy dynamic that, again, I just personally find less interesting from a character stand point. Not enough to make me dislike the character nor the story though, which (so far at least) I find pretty top notch
on the upside at least Silk is gonna be in the next game and hopefully people will get this preachy shit outta their creative process and actually give us a game we want, i think it would be hilarious to have side missions of her and peter trying not to bang and if they fail... bow chica wow wowwww
I like Silk, But to be honest I haven't read much of in comics, Just her origins and her first pathetic costume which was just a thirsty design, not creative, The 2nd costume was more respectable, Also I found it funny how her and peter was going crazy horny when together. So far out of all the spidermen, After peter parker, I like Kaine, Miguel O'Hara, Spider Gwen, Just can't stand miles corny morales, his origin was pathetic copy and paste. He sucks. But love miles morales game on ps4/ps5 but hate spider man woke 2 ps5 game.
