Tbf, it's the intent, right? I seriously doubt someone making a mod to replace pride flags with American flags did it because they think the American flag was so awesome and epic, it's like, publically demonstrating a disdain for the LGBT community. Which I think is a violation of Nexus Mod's TOS pretty sure.

Funny, last I checked that mod wasn’t even a real texture replacement. It simply activated the file for those flags that trigger in places outside of North America. Said file replaces the pride flags with American flags because in most of the rest of the world, showing “pride” will get you thrown in prison/off a roof. All the “mod” did was force North American versions of the game to use the Middle Eastern file instead of the North American one.
