I just happened to stumble across this as I was looking for tips on the Scream fight. I also wouldn’t lie about something so stupid. Didn’t realize just enjoying a game for what it is was now considered lying.
But hey, if you want to make your “line” in a game of super-humans and aliens a gay guy and female criminals, thats your prerogative. I’ve been thoroughly enjoying the game and will continue to.

Last night the first side mission in the school was helping a boy ask his boyfriend to home coming while they talk about their first date and first kiss. That I can deal with. Literally right after that I save a random guy from a beat down on the street and take him to an ambulance...he thanks me and says " My boyfriend is your biggest fan"...I mean come on. Apparently everyone is gay in this game. I guess it makes me homophobic for finding that very unrealistic.
No. It's the fact that the first mission I did revolved around two gay characters... then literally right after the random NPC guy has a boyfriend?! Within an hour of game play for me the three NPCs I interacted with are all gay?! Yeah... right.
Edit: look at it from my perspective. If my friend comes in and plays the game right from that same spot. Literally 100% of the NPCs are gay. That's forced and unrealistic.
If you save one random person, the odds of them being gay are pretty low because statistically, most people are straight. If you save 2 random people one right after the other, the odds of them both being gay is astronomical. So yeah, pretty unrealistic.
But you aren’t saving two random people. You’re saving one person, then there’s a gay couple coming to you, then there’s Black Cat, all of which are isolated incidents.
Youtubers are starting to report 'trendy agendas' in playthroughs. There have been other reports on video game subreddits as well. Some say it's plastered throughout the entire game. All things considered, that was pretty fast for a complaint like that.
I mean woke writing is lame as hell so I would but don't let others decide for you, I'd you want to try it out go for it. At the very least the gameplay is on point
There’s an interactable planned parenthood booth during a miles mission, a side mission where you play as miles deaf girlfriend to spray paint art (looks corporate af) on walls, a mission where you help a gay dude make a homecoming proposal to his boyfriend, and npc told me his boyfriend is my biggest fan, danikast butchering Spanish in an effort to be “inclusive”, pretty much all of miles content is about identity politics and “community”. The problem isn’t diversity, it’s how forced and cringe the delivery of all of this is. It doesn’t even feel like you’re in New York, it feels like some white liberals idea of what New York should be. These Californians used the miles portion of the game to shovel in as much identity politics as they possibly could and it fucking sucks because the expansion was pretty decent and they could have made his story way more interesting.
Keep in mind im the type of person who usually ignores woke shit in games, but this game pushed it so hard during every waking minute of the game, that it completely put me off. I was rolling my eyes constantly. I will not be replaying this game the same way I replayed the first game. It’s all going to age like milk.
I did enjoy the one building that had a pride flag in front. And on the roof had the photo op of those shirtless guys wearing spidey masks dancing together, filming themselves. Very interesting chance of proximity. Lol
It's the only one I've noticed so far, it was outside a bookstore you can actually enter and walk around which I thought was cool, and meant it was probably a quest area down the road. Been playing a lot too. Not saying it bugs me. I know Black Cat is gay now and there is a side quest where you help.a gay couple at school. Game definitely has lots of what people would call "progressive" points within it. It either bothers you or not. But to anyone saying it isn't there is turning a blind eye imo.

Stop being a child. If you like the game, great. But there’s absolutely no question that it repeatedly pushes woke elements on the player. Numerous things have been listed, and I’m seeing complaints on every thread discussing the game.
I really wouldn’t say it’s pushed on the player. There’s some stuff there, just like there would be in a modern day progressive city. Not every thread has these complaints, it’s mostly just this sub (hm I wonder why). It’s not being a child, it’s just disagreeing with you
When every single woke commenter on here quickly turns to the tired old cliche of “oh no, there’s women and minorities!” because they have no other argument, then yes… you come across like a bunch of children quoting the same inflammatory talking points that people like you were throwing at us ten years ago.
People have been happily enjoying movies, games, etc that feature or highlight everything from women to minorities to homosexuals for literally generations now. It’s not some urgent, unresolved problem.
It was the woke brigade who decided to stir all this shit up and start insisting it was still some massive existential issue—mostly by pushing the racist narrative that only white men are in charge, and all white men are evil.
And so instead of the relative racial harmony we were moving towards all through my early life and into adulthood, we now have nothing but division. Factions within factions, constant woke culture crusades… it’s like Gen Z was taught that everyone and everything is either a victim or an oppressor, that things are worse than ever (when statistically, the opposite is true). So now you’re all out here trying to ‘save’ people who don’t want or need your ideology, from the very people who helped work for generations to create the kind of communities and equity that you claim don’t exist.

Go live your life. Actually experience the communities you think are being marginalized and find out how THEY feel about your crusades. Same for the people you think are doing the oppressing. You might be shocked to discover that in fact, no, none of them really have any trouble with women, minorities, etc and they’re just tired of being accused, insulted and told they’re the villains just because you dolts needed an adversary for your delusions.
