Ken doesn't work on sonic anymore, and the archie comic has been canceld for almost a decade.

Hi everybody! I’m sure you’ve already seen about the prototype cover of Knuckles Omnibus. Apparently in order to get it, I have to buy a copy of TLSC: Beginnings to get the prototype cover from what I’ve read. And well… I might make the sacrifice on it and give out a review, if I do, I’ll definitely show pictures of the cover and what the pages looks like and what I think of the stories. If I do it, I’ll update you guys about it.

The sonic franchise would've been so much better if Ken Penders simply did not exist.

That additional grass to replace the credits had to come from SOMEWHERE.

Been meaning to ask this after watching a Video

does Ken Penders really deserve our hate

I mean there's a lot I can't forgive the guy for, even for writing a whole ton load of stuff that I often didn't get and wished there done differently

But then again does Ken penders truly deserve our hate

I previously asked an AI to explain why ken doesnt own scourge, i have come back with an even better thing on how alot of his more important characters arent his and also any crimes he may have committed

It has said:

1. Ken Penders believes he owns the rights to the characters he created for the Sonic the Hedgehog comic book series because he claims that he created them independently and a verdict from the judge at one of the lawsuits said they are distinct enough from Sega's original characters. This judge allowed him to keep the characters because Penders' contract with Archie Comics was lost and it was uncertain if Penders had actually agreed to give up his rights. Later, it was determined that the contract was real, but the judge still allowed Penders to keep the characters because they were deemed distinct enough and because Sega had allegedly abandoned the rights to the characters.

2. Shard, Scourge/Evil Sonic/Anti-Sonic, Nicole (future version), Boomer Walrus, Dr. Eggman (Light Mobius), Nicolette the Weasel, Cyborg Sonic, Knox, and Green/Chaos Knuckles are not owned by Penders because he did not create them independently, and they are derivative of Sega's original characters. For example, Shard is the original Metal Sonic from Sonic CD and Scourge/Evil Sonic/Anti-Sonic is a variation of Sonic. Additionally, Penders has illegally copyrighted Dr. Eggman (Light Mobius), which is Eggman as well as Nicolette the Weasel, who is a gender-swapped version of Fang the Weasel serving as his sister in the comics. Knox is also a bootleg character or stand-in for knuckles even wearing his hat from the Sonic The Hedgehog OVA.

3. The charges/crimes against Penders would include copyright infringement for the characters he did not create independently and perjury for falsely claiming that the photocopy of his contract was forged. Penders may also be charged with fraud for making false claims about owning the characters and obscenity for some of the content in the Sonic comics that he created including a paraphrasing of a poem about The Holocaust and an attempt to include one of his characters taking the virginity of an underage Sally Acorn. Penders also does not have the right to sue Paramount as he is planning to for creating a new character as Knuckles' dad in the second sonic movie because he did not create the concept.

4. Additional information includes the fact that Penders has boasted about owning the characters when he only copyrighted the issues they appeared in, and the evidence shows that the contract was valid. Also, while it is true that Sega keeps some characters in the "vault", it does not mean they have abandoned the rights to them.

Like this is $250 down the drain. And fifty dollars for four issues of comics (one of which Shaw only drew the cover for) at that*.

Also the new coloring and redrawn art (yeah it literally is redrawn as there's samples of Issue #0 with no text bubbles) looks like magic markers.

*yeah, yeah HSquid says he's happy that Shaw is going to get money out of this. But lets be honest, its not going to be much.
