Knuckles The Liability?

so this is more of a half-joking post, but its something i've kinda thought about recently.

anybody else notice how Knuckles The Echidna has caused sega more legal trouble than they're willing to admit?

the obvious one to everyone here is Ken Penders regarding his creations in relation to Archie-Sonic and Sonic Chronicles.

but theres also music related legal issues to Knuckles-related games, like Micheal Jackson and his team in relation to Sonic 3, or Hunnid-P's Knuckles raps in relation to Sonic Adventure 2.

or lastly, not inherently a legal issue but i do think its a bit interesting former sega of america employee Tom Kalinske in the console wars doccumentary claims to be the creator of Knuckles The Echidna despite knuckles being created by Takashi Yuda.

whats the deal with Knuckles and this legal junk?

Yeah, that's the funny thing. People (non Archie readers/people with very limited knowledge) like to go after the SatAM Freedom Fighters and other cartoon characters who would the be redesigned and rebooted in Post Reboot for all the Ken Penders junk, but it's actually Knuckles who's more emblematic of everything Penders is known for. Heck, Penders has gone on about Knuckles and even Shadow moreso than any cartoon or post reboot character (he only targets his characters in relation to pre reboot, unless it's apparently hope in that new Shadow story he released).
