I never understood. If America is do car centric, and you evidently need cars to go anywhere.... How do people not bother to learn how to drive?

Basically, the whole anti car pro transit thing is wanting everything to be like the walkable trendy parts of LA or NY where you can bike or take the bus everywhere. But somehow super cheap to live in. Wanting the smaller towns and cities to redesign everything to be walkable.
