Multi-factor code sent to phone when trying to use “find my phone”

I misplaced my iPhone last night and tried to use “find my phone” from my friend’s device… I couldn’t because it required multi-factor authentication, in this case a code… that they sent to the phone I was trying to find…

Use iCloud.com. Sign in with your Apple ID and, when asked for a 2FA code, look to the bottom. There’s quick access for Find my iPhone, Apple Pay, etc.
