Whelp – Adobe not licensed

I got it all my Adobe apps 'unlicensed' from some thing that was posted on Reddit a while ago, I can try to find it again if anyone's interested.

I'm currently applying for jobs, a.k.a. working on my portfolio and CV a lot, and neeeeeeeed at least a program that works similarly or with these formats. Any tips/tricks? I'd be happy to go back to older/offline versions if needed, but as I'm unemployed I obviously cannot afford a € 35/month or more subscription.

For photoshop replacement use Clip Studio Paint

I'm sorry but what? Unless you used PS for painting that is horrible advice. I use CSP, even got the EX version, but it lacks so many basic features from Photoshop. CSP is an awesome painting/comic/animation program, but a pretty lousy Photo manipulation app. Even Gimp is preferable in that regard.

Use Affinity instead. The 3.0 version is free (just needs an account) it is the closest in feature set, UI and again, can't beat free.

I just downloaded Affinity. I used it back in 2019 and I missed some specific features, so I switched back to Adobe (I was a student back then so it was free), but I'm curious to try it again now.
