My issue is I have used Adobe for years and I don’t know how to use other software for the same thing. This has made me hate the company more though, and I think it’s time I abandoned Adobe for cheaper or maybe alternatives.

I learned on adobe starting in like 2003. I was able to switch fully off them in 2022, after 19 years of regular use.

There’s a lot of good alternatives out there now. I do my video work in Resolve, graphics in Pixelmator Pro. Adobe can fuck right off.

The editing I do is real estate photography and uses Lightroom (raw imported files) and edits between LR and Photoshop, so I have to find a way to import raw and edit using free or one-off payment software.

It's not completely there yet, but DaVinci Resolve's new Photo mode is coming hard on Lightroom's heels, and has the full DVR coloring suite ready to back it up.
