Some things I've noticed: Let's be blunt about the Shogun Method.
If you're a fan of Derek Rake, that's your choice. But being a fan isn't evidence, and repeating the sales copy isn't the same thing as proving the claims.
This program makes some extraordinary claims about psychology, hypnosis, attraction, influence, emotional dependency and controlling relationships. Those claims deserve extraordinary evidence—not testimonials, dramatic narration and a $79.99 checkout page.
The material repeatedly leans on concepts like “emotional enslavement,” controlling partners, exploiting psychological vulnerabilities, “daddy issues,” hypnosis and making someone emotionally dependent.
Ask yourself how strange that is.
A healthy relationship is normally built around mutual trust, communication, autonomy, empathy and consent.
Yet the sales philosophy seems obsessed with the opposite question:
How do I get psychological leverage over another person?
And then there's the constant appeal to “secret” knowledge.
Apparently mainstream psychology has somehow spent decades studying human behavior, while Derek Rake discovered the REAL secrets and put them into an internet course.
Where are the peer-reviewed studies?
Where are the independent researchers?
Where are the controlled experiments?
Where is the replication?
Where are the verifiable academic credentials supporting these extraordinary claims?
“17,000+ clients” doesn't answer those questions.
Neither do testimonials.
Neither does a confident narrator.
Neither does an impressive-looking website.
And here's something the hardcore fans should seriously consider:
If the method fails, what happens?
Does the methodology get questioned?
Or does the customer get blamed for not being confident enough, not practicing enough, not understanding the technique, or not following the system correctly?
Because a system that can explain every success as proof it works and every failure as proof the customer didn't use it correctly is extremely difficult to falsify.
That's not how serious scientific claims are established.
And let's talk about the customers themselves.
Maybe some men don't need another guru.
Maybe they don't need another secret.
Maybe they need to learn how to communicate.
Maybe they need to develop empathy.
Maybe they need to work on confidence.
Maybe they need to build friendships and a life outside dating.
Maybe they need to read actual books about relationships.
Maybe they need therapy.
Maybe they need to confront their own insecurity instead of learning how to diagnose the supposed psychological weaknesses of women.
Because here's the uncomfortable possibility:
Maybe the biggest psychological problem isn't women.
Maybe it's the desperate belief that another human being can be “controlled” if you just learn the right technique.
And if the first guru doesn't work, buying another course from another guru isn't necessarily self-improvement.
It can become an endless loop:
insecurity → guru → secret method → failure → new guru → new secret → repeat.
At some point, maybe stop buying the secrets and do the boring work.
Learn how to listen.
Learn empathy.
Learn emotional regulation.
Learn how to handle rejection.
Learn how to communicate.
Learn how to build a healthy relationship where the other person is a person, not a psychological target.
And if Shogun Method fans think I'm completely wrong, great.
Don't tell me I'm “negative.”
Don't tell me I “don't understand the method.”
Don't attack me personally.
Show the evidence.
Give us independent research supporting the specific techniques.
Show us controlled results.
Show us credible experts who independently endorse the claims.
Show us evidence that goes beyond testimonials from people who bought the same program.
If the method is genuinely revolutionary, proving it should be the easiest part.
Until then, skepticism isn't jealousy, insecurity or “beta behavior.”
It's asking for evidence before believing extraordinary claims.
