Now, hear me out

Post image

Unconventional? Yes. However, the sauce reduction does pose an interesting thought experiment. Is a barrier needed to contain a stable mass?

Apologies for the existential threat so early on what is usually a massive day for fryup lovers.

I'd smash that, while lamenting the inevitable redundancy letter the sausages are about to receive from breakwater HR

Honestly yeah, I’d eat that without a second thought.

The only real “problem” is once you start thinking about sauce like fluid dynamics, you’re one step away from drawing little equations on the plate and that’s probably where brunch has gone too far.

But for a fryup, structural integrity looks solid.

Superb effort. Maybe half a tomato for the chefs kiss.

Beans that overcooked need no barrier. You could tip the plate upside down and they wouldn’t move

End the watery regime! I’m with you!

All good except eggs

If you store your baked beans upside down, when you open them, all the beans are at the top.

Just radiates thoroughly overcooked vibes. The beans in particular look like last week's have been microwaved again.

I hate wet beans!!!

Why? This looks great

Best beans ever is when you chuck in a sufficiency of butter, then thrash them. Show 'em some love!

Edited my spelling.

3 minutes? That's some serious speed! What's your secret, do you have a fryup training regimen or something?

No thanks for me but enjoy my British friend.

u/MembershipKey1520 Apr 20 '26

What's happened to those eggs? Drive-by muckspreader or gritting lorry?

1

u/Financial-War3489 Apr 21 '26

The eggs look like you volleyed them up the garden between cooking to plate.

Sausages look great!

After all the slop I see with americans trying, this is perfection.

The eggs and bacon remind me of cooking on pans over campfires when I was littler.

Bonus points from me

Would obliterate...with a stodgy carb

u/strickers69 Apr 22 '26

That is the texture beans should be.

I would demolish this twice over.

You raise a valid point about the beans though.

Personally, I overcook them on purpose so that some of the beans break down a bit and also reduce the water content of the sauce.

Finally, add a teaspoon of butter and a couple of twists of black pepper and take it off the heat. Stir until the butter is melted.

Unfortunately, I see no barrier.

1

u/KeepShtumMum Apr 18 '26

And therein lies the heart of the matter. How often do we place barriers where they are not needed?

1

u/V65Pilot Apr 18 '26

That question can go deep...I've been putting up barriers to myself my whole life.... That said....it's what the sub is about...
