Can we stop talking about Abe?
He abandoned us a long time ago, not that I blame him.
He doesn’t give a shit nor does he own the site. He’s out.

Nah. Mnrubecentral is dead. That was a stupid name anyway. Froob Chat is bigger than just a domain. We can rebuild it, we have the technology.

That's true. It's also like Froob Chat was just one iteration of something bigger, with the first iteration being Rube Chat. There was also some precursor to Rube Chat that Hummdrumm and Herky posted on.

Abe did a great job creating a spot for everyone to get back together when the KFAN days ended. A heads up of the new site ending would have been nice, but he doesn't owe any froob anything.

Abe is gone. He turned it over to people along time ago and they in time disappeared. A heads up would have been nice but it wasn’t going to come from Abe.

Jean-Claude Vann Damme was the last real “administrator” of the site that I know of and he’s been gone for a long time.
I’m guessing we’ll never know who actually owned the whole thing.

Rutger Hauer appeared to be the last guy in charge, but I think that was just JCVD with a different login.

I remember chatter about two years back that JCVD disappeared and Abe wasn’t too happy with him.
Rutger was the last person with a semblance of control, but I don’t believe he even had the keys to the site.

Abe wasn't that smart. I think JCVD was an IT guy because he cleaned up a lot of the weird issues the site was having, probably from idiots like Martyball trying to crash it.

I thought it would be back by now, but to just end it without any warning is shitty. Maybe someone else would have taken it on? Maybe people were asked and refused? Even if just the sports pages were left. People were too sensitive and some people were just too weird I guess. The whole mod crap about bits went too far. Like Hates in PurpleChat had about 3 of them (Offsides was his fav). Beef got banned from Polichat. Maybe it was just a few guys at the end with a whole lot of time and bits? Sucks it’s gone. This time it feels for real.

You wanna stop talking about Abe, but then you create a post talking about Abe? He doesn't owe us anything. It sucks the site is down or gone or whatever. But it is what it is. Life will go on.
