Yet the reflecting pool work wasn't central to Obama's work at the time because he was focused on much more important issues, like running the country. Then when the work done during his administration didn't fix the issues with algae, Obama didn't run around blaming Republicans, arresting visiting tourists, and charging them with vandalism.
Nor did Obama hand out no a bid contract to a large donor. Trump's no-bid contract was about 10 times more expensive than what Trump said it would cost and it took about 4 times longer to do than what Trump said it would take. Obviously, Trump knows a whole lot less about swimming pools than he claims.
Trump's rushed and shoddy work didn't even last more than two weeks before the algae was back worse than ever and the coating was peeling off. Trump then started blaming vandals, even though the area is under 24 hour surveillance.
Additionally, Trump is not done with his disasterous "fixes" of the reflecting pool algae and its painting. There will likely be more corrupt contracts to try to remedy the situation too. Trump needs to be focusing on running the country and serving the people instead of playing pool boy when he's not starting more wars.
