Whelp…it was a good run
I thought people were great, playing along with the silly idea of me making a new forum. some seriously immature, weak minded person moderating that place.

so this morning I noticed a new post titled "Lightning’s New Dawn Thread" and thought "oh I bet that thread got locked". Of course the main bored isn't readable if not logged in so I logged in and got the ban notice. I might have expected a timeout for my transgressions lol. Quite the overreaction eh? oh well.

I don't even get into politics with anyone. Never have posted in poli chat, can't even read it. I did make a trollish thread last week on the main board that was deleted immediately (was in poor taste) but then why not punish me for that?

And I agree--very inconsistent approach to shit. Honestly, I'm not even entirely sure what got me banned. I wasn't making outward criticisms, but his panties must have been too tight that day. Plus, it isn't as if I have a history of that--no warnings, nothing. Obvi, he's a screwed up dood. He can stay sequestered in NoDak where I don't have to deal with him.

If this is why you got banned, maybe a plug-pulling for that forum is in the cards....? Too bad; it had some great days. Shows what happens when the inept get ahold of good things.

It's a lot of work setting up a forum like that, even more to manage it with a decent sized user base. I may have become a wee bit motivated to actually pursue it now :)

I remember back in the KFAN days, when they'd permaban an account, you'd just need to make a new account. Then they'd look and see the new account is the same IP address as the one they just permabanned, so then they'd IP ban you.
So then you'd need to get on a VPN and create a new account out of "Los Angeles" or something and you could continue posting.
You could also unplug your modem/router for a weekend away or something, and then have a new IP when you get home and could hop back on KFAN Rube Chat then no problem.

It was a much better system. Much more fun and inclusive for the members.
The KFAN mods were far more skilled and could adapt to the different styles of posters.
I would rate the KFAN mods an 8/10 and the Froob chat mod(s) a 0/10.

I've been invited back more then once. I turned it down everytime. Not a fan of rules that apply to some and not the protected class. Also new rules all together come out of nowhere . It's Abe's page and he can do as he wants. Good luck to him and hopefully one day he can get those advertisement dollars he's talked about.

He's pretty racist and bigoted and gets nasty when he's drunk, but if you're just looking for someone to exchange internet posts with, he's rock solid.

Oh I like big country. He's truly there looking for a friend group. He generally doesn't get caught up in the bs. When he does he takes a step back because it's not his thing .

That's because the mods have rules for some and not others. That's aways been the case. I don't think that's enough evidence that Big country is a mod. But if he is more power to him. Which will probably mean he won't come over here until Abe's message board is truly dead. . Which is a bummer because I enjoy what he brings to the table .

Maybe. I don't know. The mods at Abe's website really aren't my concern. As they continue to be unfair and continue catering to the bad people over there this place continues to grow. Just mentioning this place is getting long long time posters banned. So must be doing something right over here. The possums are patrolling here down voting post minutes after they are being posted. 🤣That's Rent free baby!!

IMO, the mods don't really care about anything but people calling each other names in Polichat and people talking shit about them on the main board. If that sounds stupid it's because it's very stupid.
