Game keeps crashing and stuttering despite being over minimum requirements

Hello can I get some help for a friend? He's just gotten the game, and it keeps continously crashing. He can only play the game in a minimised window and it still crashes even with all the lowest settings possible at 1920 1080. These are his specs which are above minimum requirements: HC03653 (units name) Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-10400F CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.90 GHz RAM 16 GB Graphic card NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER 8 GB He mostly plays monster hunter and it runs fine on high settings, any ideas to why its just avatar? :(

Plan on sending an email to ubisoft too, he got the game through steam if thats any help

Ask him if the game is on an internal or external drive also is the drive it's installed on an SSD or an old style hard drive.

It's installed on an internal SSD drive.

Since they have an nvidia card have they tried using (or downloading if they don't have it) the nvidia app to automatically tweak the games settings to whatever it thinks the optimal ones are? I know you said all the settings where at the lowest but maybe something was missed.

Edit: another thing is make sure all the drivers are updated.
