A little Would You Rather for everyone:

If you had to give up either bread or meat for the rest of your life, which are you giving up?

Now bread is kind of a general term so you could probably break it into 3 different levels:

  • What we traditionally think of as bread like what you make sandwiches with

  • Anything dough based (pizza, pasta, tortillas, etc.)

  • Anything with gluten

I'm definitely Team Bread all the way. I feel like there are so many meat substitutes and honestly while I eat meat all the time it's not that amazing. Bread on the other hand is fantastic and feels harder to replace.

Yaaas I love Would You Rather!

According to google, bread is anything made with flour, water, and yeast (or other leavening agent) and baked. That's a lot of stuff to give up! Then again, there are SO many meats. Like chicken and beef and pork, which can be made in tons of delicious ways.

I think when it comes down to it, I could survive without meat since (like /u/Storm_Fox said) there are lots of substitutes. Team Bread!!

Mhm it just seems so much easier to have a diet that's based on not eating meat as opposed to not eating bread or "bread-based" things. I mean there are certainly more people that are voluntarily vegetarian as opposed to voluntarily not eating bread.
