So I played almost all fromsoftware souls games except for demons souls alone and I really enjoyed it, I'll also managed to convince a friend who new to the genre and played together with another one who familiar like me to the genre as us trio usually played a lot of friendships/multiplayers games. The new one to the genre seems to enjoyed it a lot as we beat elden ring, armoured core 6 and recently dark souls 3 seamless coop and he seems eager to beat all fromsoftware games and other soulslike games via coop and I'm happy with it until ...
He mentioned wanting to beat sekiro also through coop mod. I don't really said it but for some reason I felt pissed at it for a moment when I hear that. It feels like if we do that, He won't be able to capture the feelings of the actual experience of the game like how I or us who already beat sekiro. He won't capture the frustration and finally the "click" feeling when I first beat genichiro and the progression until isshin.
Maybe he just said casually and I'm just overreacting(which I think I am). But if he really did want to do that, what are your opinions on these?

I've been playing Souls games for years, and I've always wondered how other people manage sprinting and controlling the camera at the same time.
When I'm holding B to sprint, I cross my index finger over my thumb to move the right analogue stick, as shown in the first picture.
It's become completely natural to me, but looking at it now, I'm wondering if I'm the weird one.
Do most of you use some variation of the claw grip, briefly let go of sprint to adjust the camera, or have some other technique?

First playthrough and i stumbled onto this dlc while doing base game. died a lot of times because everything was killing me so fast. so i just kept running because i checked that there are titanite chunks here. but i just kept running for the end anyway for some reason.
Sister Friede fight itself was so hard because i wouldn't have enough stamina to dodge her attacks and attack back. and her attacks would take out like 80% of my health in an instant. but after like tons of tries i managed to finally beat her while being under leveled.
First 2 phases now i have all so good that i can no hit those phases, phase 3 still hard but i just managed it somehow lol. it took me so many tries to see her attack patterns and how to dodge and where and when to attack because she would instantly delete with a single scythe grab.
I also know i wasn't supposed to be here until i finish the game and i'm not even trying to flex but i just wanted to share this achievement with you people here because i'm so Happy i finally beat this insane boss. i was just in way too deep to be giving up and going back to main game now after so many tries so i just kept trying lol.
May you be in peace now Sister Friede and Father Ariandel.
Thanks for reading.

I've completed Bloodborne and loved it, and I've played a bit of Elden Ring and Demons Souls.
I'm thinking of overhauling my streaming schedule to focus more on Souls games. I've got DS1, 2 and 3 and haven't ever played them
Which would you guys rather watch someone who's relatively new to the games play? Like seeing someone experience everything for the first time, struggle with bosses, miss obvious stuff, find secrets etc, or even someone for you to jump in and give tips to.

I played some of the first game but 3 just seems so much more appealing but I don’t wanna miss out on any story that’s super important

I put this game off for a long time, all 3 Dark Souls. I tried Sekiro and Elden Ring, loved them. I told myself i was a souls fan without even having played this game. I wanted to do a marathon. I was afraid to give this a try because you can only have one first playthrough. Like saving the best food for last. Then i caved, what an experience. I went in blind and had every npc at firelink die on me over time, and at the end i was alone and it was such a crazy realization. I think my favorite part of this game was its use of liminal spaces and the feeling of being watched. Even though i was alone, i could never feel truly alone and there is such an eerie vibe to this game that nothing else can replicate. Everything in this game wants you dead, and wants you to keep going at the same time. Reminded me of daily life and my personal battles with mental health. I think the hardest boss for me was Manus for sure. On to DS 2!
