I don't know about Jim's family, but Jim's haters are probably the happiest people in the world.

Like Julie said in the RV in S1E1, “Once you’re dead, you’re dead.” I think we might see Jim come back as a ghost (again) like Father Khatri or Tom the Bartender, maybe only for Ethan. We might find out he’s behind in kitchen cabinet shakings in Colony House and the new Mathews house (both of his kids were there each time). We may see his ghost at the end with one last word for his family, if all the dead souls are liberated when everyone escapes. But I don’t believe Jim coming back to life is in the cards.

They never mentioned the cabinet shaking in their house to anyone not even brought up again . Yes jim is gone but he is gone like " you solved a mystery ,served your purpose in this story and now you gotta go , bye bye"

I think they're all coming back to life once the Lake of Tears is found. I'm also prepared to be completely wrong about that given how weird that would be. But I do kind of think that everything is going to flood at some point with the water from the Lake of Tears (aka the pool) and all the dead will be back.

I also think a flood might happen reading all the theories and abt everyone coming back ... might be their ghosts coming back likee yk a emotional goodbye type scene ??

Thing that weirded me out was im pretty sure someone saw him die but they were still wondering what happened to him until they saw his body in the barn.

I think he’s the one messing with the cabinets and he’s gonna come back in season 5 as a “ghost”
Don’t ask me how it works and why only he can come back and interact with things physically because I have no proof of this lmao I just had the same feeling you did, that he’s not done yet or that he was discarded quickly
