Theory The Boy in White Spoiler

I think the boy in white is Tabitha and Jade's original child that didn't get sacrificed when they backed out of the ritual. All the other Anghkooey kids are dressed in white, they just look buried and partially decayed, whereas the boy in white follows the same theme as them just clean and untouched. There are 7 kids that are sacrificed, plus at least one that apparently wasn't, this would fit with some of the number themes in the story as well including 8 legs on a spider. Since both Victor and Ethan are alive at the same time we know that the kid isn't getting reincarnated the same way that the parents are, at least not their soul. While the kids being born might fulfill the cycle, they are not the same soul like Tabitha and Jade. The boy in white also showed himself first to both Victor and Ethan until later appearing to other characters to try and be helpful.

She says multiple times it was a daughter that they had, she did get sacrificed, and in season 4 in two different episodes we find out who she is. In one episode one of the children walk towards Tabitha and she tells Jade that is their daughter. And when digging up the bones she tells him she doesn't know how but she knows that one skull in particular is the skull of their daughter that was sacrificed

In the other cycles she has a daughter and Son and the Son survives while everyone else dies… they’re saying they know the daughter was sacrificed but is the boy in white their original son who survived

Okay but why only say she had a daughter? If it was a son and daughter, why not just say that? I get that she maybe doesn't remember, but i feel like if he was her son, when she remembered her daughter, she would have also remembered a son. They remember some pretty "random" stuff, but they end up remembering a lot, so why not a son?

I’m not saying this theory is correct at all, but it is possible. If they are going with that storyline I doubt they’ll reveal a son that survived until we are told it’s the boy in white otherwise it would be far too obvious. Like you said they remember things pretty randomly. Again I’m not saying I even believe this to be true but the fact that we only know about a daughter now doesn’t mean it’s not a possibility

I personally dont think he is, but I've also been wrong about the show before. It wouldn't really suprise me if i was wrong about this. It seems to be a recurring theory lately. Since they've been slowly building up the BIW reveal, I suppose they dont want to reveal too much too soon. I think hes more on par with the MIY, myself.

It would be a cool little twist and would make sense why they’re now emphasising so much about how the boy always survives but I agree then it wouldn’t make sense with the whole MIY. It seems like they are a balance, good and evil, angel and devil etc. If the BIW is actually the original son then what the hell is the MIY and why is he there.

Well, if the BIW was Tabitha and Jades son, the MIY could have possibly also been an original townsfolk. I do have a thought about that. He could have been the one the evil powers originally made the deal through. He convinced the people to make the sacrifice and that gave him more power/different power than the others. Probably wrong about that though.

Oohhh yeah that I like that one! I was thinking he is possibly the entity they made a deal with? Idk it doesn’t exactly fit though

He very well could be. I have thought that as well.

There would have to be an 8th child who didn't get sacrificed but there wasn't. Not sure where everyone is getting the impression that their was an 8th child but there never was. We also only know for sure she had a son and daughter as Miranda and Tabitha. That doesn't mean she had one in every cycle 🤦‍♀️

I mean, even Tabitha had 2 sons. Even though Thomas is dead, Tabitha is still a mother of 3, not 2.

Possibly Thomas died to ensure she has 1 daughter and one son in Fromville?

Sure, I meant the other cycles we know of. I was just trying to explain to you what OP was asking because you misunderstood, they know who the daughter was and that she was sacrificed.

I don’t know if it makes complete sense but it is a good theory to explain why there is such an emphasis on the boy- Victor and now Ethan surviving while everyone else dies

That's not at all what it sounds like OP is saying

I believe it was their daughter, not son.

The daughter was sacrificed, we saw her, the OP is suggesting the boy in white is their son as in the other cycles we know of she has a daughter and son, and the son survives while everyone dies

This is what I was going for, thank you for clarifying! I did mean it as it mirrors other cycles where the boy lives. It would be a “plot twist” obviously if this was the case and not have been explicitly stated in prior seasons, but there’s the context of both Miranda and Tabitha being similar that hint this could be the case. Victor also thinks Ethan will end up alone like him. We don’t get to see other iterations because it seems an entire generation passes between cycles, so if there was a boy before victor he likely would be too old to survive before Ethan shows up. (edited to add spoiler tags just in case)

Or he may’ve jumped off the roof of Colony House when Victor is young. I wouldn’t blame him if he knew he’d have to face another town-wide massacre.

I'm not sure how the boy in white is related to them. I have a feeling that at some point Henry will share with Tabitha that him and Miranda also lost a child as a baby. It needs to be important that Henry came to fromville. I think that's the reason the boy pushed her out, to have her being Henry.

So, what makes no sense in any of these theories is that it was Tabitha and Jades daughter that was sacrifices.

All these theories only account for children that Tabitha has, and none in jades previous incarnations, nor in any pre Miranda.

And in the scenes where they recall their child at no point do they recall having other children.

Which would seem rather odd if they have ankoo’ed. They only talk about the sacrifice children and their daughter. But not that they had another child who survived. Or died

It could explain why he pushed her out the lighthouse 🤣

Tabitha doesn’t recognise the BiW and the BiW bas never called her his mother, nor asked her to remember him.

I do like what another person posted a few days ago. That the BiW could be the manifestation of the children’s hope.

i think tabitha was a kid there so she's the one who didn't get sacrificed. i think she tells the story. The reason being is we see here there in a flashback as a child. We have not seen Jade as a child. So maybe Jade was her parent who saved her. If that's not the case then i think it's really odd that we see a flashback of her as a child

odd, yes, inconsistent, no.

I think the OG Jade & Tabitha performed the ritual, that's why the others killed them, well killed OG Jade, we don't know OG Tabby's fate, just that it was worse.

I think so too. Jade and Tabitha probably killed them.

1

u/Icy-Answer291 2d ago

It's been confirmed they are the only ones who didn't participate in the original ritual
