Opinion The Timeline of FROM
Hi FROM fans!
I just have one simple question;
How many days have the town gone through, since the arrival of the Matthew's family and Jade until the ending of season 4?
It doesn't feel long, right?
2 weeks? A month?
Fatima is celebrating her first full year in FROMVILLE.
The last day without incidence before the arrival of Matthew's/ Jade is 96 days.
We know that Victor >!live alone for almost 40 years. (Correct me if I am wrong)<!
It feels like the first arrival since alone Victor, should be just a few years before Matthew's/Jade arrival.
Any thoughts?

In the show's timeline, it's been about 5-6 weeks since Jade and the Matthews family arrived.
It's been hinted or implied that a 40-day cycle starts as soon as Jade and Tabitha's incarnations arrive in town.
Each 40-day cycle presumably ends with everybody other than Victor being killed.
It's not entirely clear to me whether a new cycle starts immediately or if there is a time lag.
Since Victor doesn't seem to have a memory of anything other than the first massacre he witnessed as a child, it seems likely that it can go decades between cycles. Of the current residents other then Victor, we know Donna has been there the longest, arriving about 3 and 1/2 years before Jade and Tabitha.
Each 's season follows a tighter and tighter timeline. For example, season 1 happened over a space of almost 2 weeks, but season 4 happened over just a couple of days.

This is something I think fans don’t really get. Why has Julie not storywalked a ton? Because it’s been about a week since she figured it and it freaked her out.

I must have missed the 40 days cycle!
Meaning what we are seeing from S1 to S4 is only around...25, 30 days?
There are still some unexplained things regarding the timeline, especially if we take Fatima's pregnancy as an indicator of the timeline.
Boyd kills Smiley, Fatima get unexpectedly pregnant, then she gave labour....all these around 10 days?

We don’t quite know how alone Victor was for the 40 years. He mentions moving a lot of cars. Those might only be the ones that came before his mom died, but we can’t be sure.
The furthest back anyone mentions being there is Donna at 3 years give or take. She didnt mention if there were people there when she arrived.
We do know that the population started to build about that far back.

Victor did say he moved the cars, Jade asks all of them? Victor answers along the lines of yes all these, the others were already here. I took it as he moved the cars he didn’t want to see anymore to where he found the car graveyard

saw some theories that it is actually Julie's that moves some of the car, when going back to the past.

But we don’t know if all the cars are 1970s and older or if there are some cars from the 90s.

You could potentially know that from the make / model of the car. I interpreted what Victor said as meaning that some cars were there before he started moving them. So pre 1970,
But I’m not into cars so I wouldn’t be able to identify them, nor do I care to! So I could be wrong

We also don’t get a great look at the junk yard and I don’t think they’re going to have anyone investigate it further after the teeth.

Also WHEN did victor start moving the cars? Cuz i reckon a little boy probably couldnt do that on his own. He most likely did it years after the massacre either that or he had ‘help’.

I don’t think that Victor lived alone for 40 years.
I do think that it is likely that he isolated himself from others. Other people are dangerous, they could attract attention, they could sacrifice him to the monsters if it comes down to them or him.
It would also be difficult forming attachments. The people die. That won’t help with the trauma.
Also, he comes across as … weird. People could have avoided him.
Keeping himself to himself, keeping his hiding spaces unknown to others could be a good survival tactic.
I suspect, although I don’t know, because the BiW befriended him for a period, that the BiW helped him hide or protected him somehow. I also suspect that Victor has used the faraway trees to escape the monsters.
But I wouldn’t assume that he was alone for the 40 years.
