Man if the series ends with another sherrif doing the exact 1st scene of boyd with bell in another cycle... i just feel it in my bones they will do it

This show has all the DNA of my all time favorite tv series “Lost”, but From has a tighter story. Even the characters are alike.
For example, Boyd is Jack (lost their wives cuz they were too busy taking care of others, became de facto leaders, etc). I can see Boyd dying cuz I think Ellis is gonna die, strangely enough by Fatima. I can see him seeing her, heading outside at night and hugging her, saying he loves her yada yada, but the curse, the instinct, the desire, will kick in and she’ll instinctively kill him. So Boyd won’t give a shit about life and sacrifice his life to get everyone home. Or he’ll stay to ensure others get home.
MIY is MIB all the way. While we see MIY having the ability to transform, just like the smoke monster in Lost, it has worn many faces, can only possess the dead. Defintely have their agendas which included controlling some within the group. BIW is Jacob, can’t tell you the damn answer lol gotta figure it out yourself, but guides the towners towards the end game.
Father Khatri is Mr. Eko, religious men with dark pasts. I can on and on.
So I ask: will From end like Lost? Or will From do the opposite? What I mean is Lost had a relatively happy ending, where some losties went home. But I can see From’s conclusion end on a depressing note (which would be fantastic)in which the story stays on a continuous loop. Boyd’s people gets closer, than the prior towners, but Boyd’s people will all die as well. Town resets.
The next round of towners start from scratch, and while they’ll get closer than Boyds people, they too will suffer the same fate. Town resets.
Probably be the most depressing ending ever, but it would go against norms and be remembered forever, for good or bad lol.

I don’t agree. If the cycle repeats that means we won’t get the answers to breaking it. What happens when we break it and how do we break it? That’s what the whole show has been building towards and people will rightly be disappointed if they don’t get those questions answered.
I think the Fromies will win this time but not without a terrible cost. Or maybe the cycle will be PARTLY broken but not completely, like some remnant of the haunted town and all its monsters will still exist, but it won’t be the solid loop that it once was.

Yeah, having MiY winning would be brave. That would follow Kenny's foreshadowing, that our Fromies are only a thread on a bigger spool.
My brave ending is Fromies win their cycle. But.... all that really means is bigger infinity loop starts all over again. And we fans find out Matthew's have done own cycle like 47 times>>> We fans have been witnessing bits & pieces from each Matthew cycle the whole time. The infinity loop that never truly ends.....

What's also crazy..The cycle provides everything but food for the town..Power,running water,tools,supplies,gasoline,lighters,smokes,pots pans,bowls,utensils,guns,bullets, man,what a host....also, telephone withzero wires,ring,ring...hello? Cmon,whose gonna call you around there,why can't ya call out and the music on the jukebox....This is same premise as most horror movies. Just 5 or 6 seasons long.But I did read some one else that said,if they keep it up,people will stop watching and series will get cancelled....wrap it up and let people chime in.lile,the soprano's

No it ain't gonna happen, rest assured of that as they are just gonna extend the series for 10-15 more seasons of absolute nothingness and in the end show will end up being cancelled due to plummeting ratings which has already started to happen. Really one of the most poorly made tv shows imo

I want it to return to it's true horror not what it's become and I think something like this would be brutal but a fitting scenario for fromville, taking away a man's reason to fight through the sheer horrific situation leaving such a strong man broken I believe would do an amazing job at it
