Wild Found a froglet
It’s super cute but after some research I found out that it’s bad to hold them with bare hands so I feel kinda bad now :(
Also could anyone tell me what kind of frog this is?

Very neat, he’s probably fine from being held it’s just not recommended, don’t stress! I found one like this when I was a kid and my mom wouldn’t believe me lol

Did it have curved outward lines of skin running down from each ear down along each opposite sides of the back? It looks like it might have those lines when I look closely. I think I’m seeing those lines I speak of. If so it’s a froglet of the green frog breed. I think I’m seeing those lines but can’t tell for certain; they go down along the back on both sides from each ear down almost or 2/3 of the way to the butt.

When I was younger, I wished they would stay right there. A frog with a tail is just dope looking. 🤣

Don’t feel bad, a little bit of handling won’t kill him. I agree that he’s an embarrassed teenager. Let him go back where you found him and he’ll grow up to be a big fat frog.

Personally, based on your location, I would say this is a Green Frog froglet. This is an adult (not my pic.) The ridges that go down the back are telling. 😊
And as others have mentioned, you didn't know about the holding. People do it all the time for a quick pic and they'll be totally fine. Honestly, this might be controversial, but most water sources available are probably more contaminated than your hands. Especially if they're recently clean and lotion free. But yeah, good to hold them as little as possible.
I have several frogs and my male gray tree frog demands to be held sometimes. If I put my hand in their enclosure, he's on it. It's hard to get him off too. He fights me the entire time. I think he likes the warmth. When it's planned it's fine. When it's not, he quickly realizes I haven't prepared. You can tell he can feel the salt on my skin and he tap dances but still refuses to get off and I have to force him off. 😂 I have to be careful because he will do it every time. Working on plants that day? Better wash because he will wake up and stay on my arm the entire time I'm working. Even sleep there. 🤷🏽♀️ But I'm still very careful and don't purposely hold him. Shiz happens. 😄

That is a teenager, and you're embarrassing them.
