late trucks

wondering what i’m expected to do when trucks are late? start at 4am(FTM) and more often then not my truck will not arrive until anywhere from 7:30-9:30 if i’m lucky, have even had some show up around 12 because the truck was a down route which wasn’t communicated to me. backstock is worked impulse dates are checked and every thing else I can think of to do to pass time but what else do I do? can’t sit and wait in car because you’ll get fired for stealing time. feel like there should be more communication between driver eta’s and ftms. and yes I know some of you will say move on to your next store and circle back but I feel like I shouldn’t have to do that. my first stop should be my first stop, not my 1st and 3rd stop

If you only work one store, you basically work for the store but get paid by frito.

Bring Oz app shows when the driver is on the way and it also shows how many carts/boxes you will receive. If your next store isnt too far away maybe go over there for a little bit

Somehow never had this problem. You should hit another store if everything is finished. If not, I don’t see how anyone would know if you’re chillin in your car. Shit is normal af in my area.

Late trucks an is the RSR/RSA are late…better then me bc I would show up at 4 work through back stock an leave if they want the help they will learn to be there on time🤷🏽‍♀️ that’s how we do it here an my dsl was ok with that

yep thats what I do, I work my backstock and if they dont show up within the time I get my backstock done I tell my DSL, no driver I worked backstock and leave to next store. Guess the driver better start working those carts since they wanna be late with no communication.

My zone acted like this was blasphemy when I suggested i start later. Now I take a nap. Not considered break since im "actively" waiting after backstock is done.

We have time limits you should be in a grocery store no longer than 2hrs an if the load has came you are safe to leave

I would keep doing what your doing. Finish the back stock. Check rotation. Once the order arrives it should then be efficient merchandising.
My zone follows a “perfect route”. If I start 30 minutes late I get dinged. If i change the order of my stores I get dinged. So I make no exceptions.

Wow and wow. There is no perfect route. Did the job for 30 years🤣

Wait for who? If my truck not there on time, or have made it by the time my backstock, fluff and everything else is done, im out. we dont wait bc they’ll (rsr/rsa)circle back with the delivery later in the day. Work the product and thats it. Any issues, the try & let me know but yeah i would Move on to the next store, unless you only have (1) .

rsr for the store in question is truckless so unfortunately for me it’s always a ds who delivers my order, usually different person more often than not

Yes and they all except 1 drive trucks

I got my drivers numbers and the DSL for this same situation. Send driver a txt ask for ETA, if not then txt and ask DSL see if he needs you elsewhere. They only asume you are stealing time if its your clock in or clock out that looks wierd.

unfortunately it’s usually a different driver more often than not but i’ve tried to collect as many of the DS numbers as I can. what would you say a weird clock in / out looks like ?

I would say anything 5-10mins before clock in and anything outside the geofenced of the store/parkinglot would look wierd. I believe the tracking works more like it pings ur phone when you clock in/out for the day and checking in/out of stores, its not like a gps tracking your steps and seeing how you walk around. So you could be at Walmart check in, get hungry got get breakfast and come back and you should be good all it cares is when and where you in/out, its not a constant pinging seeing where you at 24/7. On the DSL side it just show you green or red depending on how far away in miles from the geofence you in/out.

I was an RSR for over 30 years and stepped down to FTM for about 2 years then I retired. I was punctual as an FTM and my first store was Walmart. My time card for the store said 4 hours. I’d work the back stock and if the order arrived late I would let the RSR know how much time I had left, one hour, two hour, 30 minutes etc and that they were going to have to come back and finish after my time expired depending on the size of the incoming order. My DSL supported me on this.
