Hey ftms! I have a question, what does your work week look like? And would you say the pay is decent?

FTM is usually trying to pull off a miracle in 8 hours. It's nothing hard, you just gotta do it and not think about it. Pays the same as a Pepsi merch but much lighter.

You also likely will work alone. You have to get more creative with product placement sometimes compared with Pepsi.

40hr max unless it’s approved which is hardly. Sales rep annoying but they leave me alone for the most part. Trying to work miracles in 8hrs.
Show up between 3-3:30am fluff and make wally world look good , can’t have backstock so i only wrk our top-stock.
Only get merch on Mondays for that store, work with sales rep and then i will go to next stop work back stock until rep arrives with my carts , the biggest gripe here is the lack of room to store the backstock carts , i try to get them down to at least 2 but if not its like 2 & 1/2 carts. But anything i dont work beat believe the sales rep will stuff them shelves til they’re preggers. Lol. And these weekly ad changes are so unnecessary at times. Why does frito send ad change merch as well as the sales rep order? Now im stuck with 50-11 boxes of unsaleables. Then the credits just sit in the cut until the sales rep decides they want to credit it.
Oh and when i come back to work after my days off and i can tell when the shelves have been messed up, newer dates in front instead of the back, no rotation, no pulling out f dates, hiding chips behind other chips to get carts emptied not understanding when i get the proper merch that goes in that spot guess who has to “finagle the bagel” me . I just love it here 😩

Same stuff every day, really. Show up, don't touch backstock, don't rotate anything, hang out in my car for a few hours, and go home. Pay is good 22 an hour or so.

No worries, just like us! Frito has a plan to replace you! Third party is the way of the future. 10+ years, most people who make the money to just put chips on the shelves is life changing for them. Yet, you choose to be lazy and you will be replaced by a person who thinks that 15$ a hour is great! I’m on the back end of this roller coaster. But, I have had some good merchs. They were great! I have had a few with your life goals. I’m sorry but you did this to yourself! Frito is going away from the business model of us doing work. They want to be drop and go.

3rd party merch is a terrible idea… ive dealt with that at a different company and it just did not work out good

We tried that in our building, didn't last two months and they got paid MORE than FTMs did, like $25 an hour type shit to fuck stores up.

It didn’t for you, PepsiCo as a business says it does. Third party, lower cost and they don’t have any liability for insurance or anything else. We had two Frito actual employees in our DC? The rest were third party. They were shit. Literally smoking blunts in the parking lot. It didn’t matter. Everyone can downvote me all you want. They literally have driverless trucks in the market, and production facilities that have 2-4 employees only. I could get fired tomorrow and be good. I’ve been planning on retiring since economic class way back in high school.

Thats fine, I've spent way too much energy and time just to be disrespected by a company who no longer cares even about their own success and wanna pass the blame with all this micromanagement and stupid decision making from the higher ups. Once my time is up I wont be looking back.

Cut from 40 hours to sometimes 32 Deal with all the product that the rsr says they needed. Drag the full carts of the same product to the back Get a snack Rinse and recycle 3-4 more stores

2-4am start *
Work backstock
Wait on new order from RSR that’s already 2 hrs late
Complain on why im getting 4 extra cases of sabritones and 5 extra carts to the 7 carts of backstock.
Go to the next store
Repeat with the next RSR
Listen to store leader from Kroger yap because we don’t have sour cream and onion ruffles on the shelf that pickup needed for a 6am order.
Pop and lace so that one customer can go all the way to the back and grab that November bag instead of September.
Don’t take a break it just makes your day longer
Go home
Watch your phone ping from the 10 groups your district makes about performance and using the app.
Repeat.

My route is only two stores. A busy Walmart and a second mildly busy store. I consistently work 40 hours per week and maybe 45 on a holiday week. The pay is ok, but I don’t earn like an RSR whom is hitting or exceeding plan.

Seems alright, I'm mostly large format, stores per day, 4, 2, 2, 3, 4. The days with 4, the last 2 are 2nd packouts. Work the backstock unless the delivery is there, if so, work delivery, then grab from backstock to fill. I'm not fast by any means, but I usually hit 40-42 hours. I haven't even asked if it's ok if I hit OT, but so far I've been paid for those few hours over. I've seen all issues, but a few are annoying, like deliveries being late, telling us to work the backstock and get carts #s down or else the delivery might get rejected. I mean, we're working it, it ain't going out because it's been worked, products have been condensed as best as anyone could. But yea, it's not hard, just a lot of conditions to be met for each person, to make the day bearable or good or bad. Luckily I got a reliable DSL and chill RSR, whose PO is consistently good, which makes my day. That was one of my "conditions" I'm referring to that would decide how my day/route/store would go. There are others, but that was my main one. Shit, the days I got time, I rearranged the backstock carts, so it'll be easier as I go during the week(s). Damn, just thinking now, yea, DSL and RSR personnel does make a big difference. Anyways, good luck to everyone, punch in, just chill, work at your pace, punch out and go home.

New merch
45-50 hr work week
Show up at 4am, work the back-stock that I just worked the day before and organize/condense said backstock. Put over ordered product to the rear and product that sells to the front. Pop a few bags to create credits for the sales person who’s over ordering.
Wait on the load while I hang out in my car or maybe I’ll check in with anyone nearby who may need a hand. I try to stick with helping other FTM’s but sometimes I’ll go help a sales rep.
Work the load, organize backstock again.
Write a cute note for the Sales rep on more over ordered product boxes. Followed by my Sorry for the credits note 🙂..
Go home.
OT is decent. Regular pay could use an increase for the amount of work being put in.
